Soi Nguyen Spikes It, Then Ships It

We caught the action as Soi Nguyen raised to 1,350 and an opponent reraised all-in for his last 13,175. Nguyen made the call and revealed {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}, but found himself dominated by the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} held by his opponent.

The dealer spread a flop of {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} across the felt and suddenly Nguyen had taken the lead. The {J-Clubs} on the turn solidified his advantage, and now only a ten could save the all-in player.

River: {3-Diamonds}

With that, Nguyen scored the knockout with a come-from-behind victory, boosting stack to around 33,000.

Even with this win, however, Nguyen could not avoid going bust himself and was sent to the rail just minutes after doubling-up. We missed the action, but Nguyen found himself all-in at some point holding {A-}{Q-} against his David Rounick's {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. No help arrived on any street and, just as quickly as Nguyen gained his 33,000 chips, he had donated them to Rounick, who now holds a huge stack of 92,000.
