Melanie Weisner Eliminated in 14th Place ($24,679)

Nivel 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Melanie Weisner - 14th Place ($24,679)
Melanie Weisner - 14th Place ($24,679)

No sooner than Melanie Weisner had been crippled by Pim de Goede, she was all-in in the very next hand from the button with {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Arkadiy Tsinis shoved over the top from the small blind and Perry Lin folded his big blind before Tsinis tabled {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Nothing changed after the dealer spread the board of {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Weisner bowed out in 14th place, good for $24,679 - her fifth cash of the series. A stellar effort!

Weisner in Strife

Pim de Geode raised from under the gun with from {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to 40,000 and the action folded around to Melanie Weisner who shoved from the small blind with {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

De Goede snap-called and managed to hit the ace on the flop of {K-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{3-Spades}, which held after the turn and river ran out {6-Clubs}, {4-Diamonds}. With that, Weisner is now down to 225,000 while de Goede is up to 675,000.

Aldridge Doubles

At the same time that Jonathan Spinks hit the rail, Daniel Aldridge shipped the rest of his stack into the middle holding {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} from the button pre-flop, but found himself in great shape against Ryan Laplante, who had called for value with {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Neither hand improved after the board was spread {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Aldridge doubled up to 400,000. Laplante is now down to 800,000.

Jonathan Spinks Eliminated in 15th Place ($24,679)

Jonathan Spinks - 15th Place ($24,679)

The action folded to Jonathan Spinks who open-shoved from the button before the flop; Perry Lin then iso-shoved from the small blind, forcing Jacob Toole out of the way from the big blind before the cards were tabled:

Lin: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Spinks: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Spinks took the lead after hitting two pair on the flop of {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}, but Lin was now drawing to the nut flush. It didn't come on the turn of the {3-Diamonds}, but it did on the river, in the form of the {9-Clubs}.

As a result, Spinks has departed the Amazon Room to sign off on a $24,679 payday for his 15th place finish.

Matt Wilkins Eliminated in 16th Place ($19,708)

Matt Wilkins - Eliminated in 16th Place ($19,708)

After Daniel Aldridge opened for 34,000 from the hijack, Matt Wilkins three-bet for his entire stack holding the button. Ryan Laplante woke up with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} in the small blind and shoved over the top of Wilkins bet. Aldridge mucked his cards and Wilkins showed down {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. He would need help to arrive in a hurry in order to remain in the tournament.

Flop: {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The first three cards were a big swing and a miss for Wilkins, and he would need to spike a three-outer on the turn or river to survive.

Turn: {5-Spades}
River: {8-Diamonds}

The kings remained hidden in the deck and Wilkins was bounced in 17th place, earning $19,708 for his efforts.
