Chambers Eliminated, Chips for Scarber

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Another bustout to report, this time Tom Chambers, victimized by Thomas Scarber.

Chambers got his whole stack in with a couple of aces -- {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} -- while Scarber held {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. The board came {5-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}, giving Scarber two pair plus a low and sending Chambers out in 20th place. Meanwhile, Scarber now sits with 336,000.

One more elimination and we'll have another redraw for the final two nine-handed tables.

Caetano Busts, Oliveira Growing

Michael Caetano got his last 80,000 in preflop against Marco Oliveira.

Caetano: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Oliveira: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and with no player having a low, Oliveira took it down with threes full of kings. Even with just three tables to go, we are losing players like wildfire. We have 22 players left and are close to another redraw at this point.

Lucky River for Yockey to Bust Greco

We found Michael Greco all in preflop against Bryce Yockey. Their hands were as follows.

Yockey: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Greco: {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} to give Greco bottom set and the lead. The {6-Spades} on the turn changed nothing and Greco would just have to fade one of the two remaining kings on the river to double up. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for Yockey, it came the {K-Hearts} which gave Yockey top set and the knockout as Greco hit the payout desk.

Mahrenholz Out, Down to Three Tables

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Just as the redraw for the final three tables was about to occur, we had yet another elmination, Karl Mahrenholz in 27th place.

Mahrenholz was all in before the flop with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} against Neal Levin's {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, giving Levin a Broadway straight and ousting Marhenholz. Levin is now up to 256,000.

Wice Busts Another, Over 600k

Roch Cousineau moved all in on a {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and in his usual fashion, Alexander Wice nodded his head before he plopped down the necessary chips for a call.

Wice: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Cousineau: {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The {4-Spades} turn and {J-Spades} river completely bricked for Cousineau who was eliminated and Wice’s aces up were good to scoop the pot and made him the first to surpass the 600,000 chip mark with the next closest player not even at 400,000 yet.

Final 27

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

We are down to our final 27 players, which means that they are re-drawing for seats right now. They will do the same at 18, and for our final table. They have just started Level 18 so we have roughly three more hours of play left in the night. At this point, we may reach a final table tonight and if not, we'll be very close.
