Wendy Cordiner: A Happy Bubble Girl?
We have just seen quite the spectacle over here at the lady event. We just reported that there was an attempt to put $10 in per person for the bubble girl, but since everyone didn't agree, play continued. Well on the next hand, Wendy Cordiner open shoved her last 9,000 in middle position with 
and was called by Sarah Herzali,who had 
. Unfortunately for Cordiner, the board ran out 
, and she was the bubble girl.
It just so happens that Cordiner was sitting right next to Gretchen "The Dragon Lady" Brummer, who was the original organizer. As soon as Cordiner lost the hand, Brumemr shot out of her chair, and said "Who wants to donate 10 dollars for her?" Over the next three minutes, several players ran around the room, collecting cash from each table to give to Cordiner. In the end, Cordiner looked to collect close to her buy in back in 10's and 20's, making the sting of being the bubble girl not too bad. Congratulations to all of the ladies left, we are in the money!!
