Glantz Doubles Through Rast

Pot-Limit Omaha

We caught up with the action on the {J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Brian Rast bet the pot and Matt Glantz re-potted to get all in. Rast called and the hands were tabled.

Rast: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Glantz: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and gave Glantz a heart flush. The river completed the board with the {10-Spades}. Glantz won the pot with his flush and Rast sent over the chips. He still has close to two million though.

Rast Above 2MM

Pot-Limit Omaha

Matt Glantz opened to 20,000 from under the gun, and received calls from Brian Rast on his direct left and David Baker in the cutoff. The flop fell {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Glantz checked, Rast fired 45,000, and Baker folded. Glantz called.

The turn was the {a-Spades}, and Glantz checked again. Rast bet pot (165,000), and Glantz tank-called.

The river was the suicide king ({k-Hearts}), and Glantz checked a third time. Rast slid out 350,000, and Glantz folded.

Lester Leads Turn

Nivel 16

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action folded to Sebastien Sabic on the button. He raised to an unknown amount and was called by Jason Lester in the big blind. The two players saw the flop come down {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Lester checked. Sabic checked behind to see the {3-Hearts} land on the turn. Lester didn't check this time. Instead, he led with a bet of 36,000. Sabic released his hand and Lester won the pot.

Johnson Jolts Up

Pot-Limit Omaha

Gus Hansen opened to 24,000 from the cutoff seat, Robert Mizrachi called on the button, and Marco Johnson came along from the small blind. The dealer fanned {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, and Johnson led for 82,000. Only Mizrachi called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, and Johnson led again - this time for 92,000. Mizrachi called.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board, and Johnson moved all in for 333,000. Mizrachi released, and Johnson took down the pot.

Ruthenberg Rises, Shchemelev Slips

Nivel 16
Sebastian Ruthenberg
Sebastian Ruthenberg

Pot-Limit Omaha

Sebastian Ruthenberg opened for 26,000 from the button and got two callers in Roman Yitzhaki (SB) and Vladimir Shchemelev (BB).

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Yitzhaki checked, Shchemelev bet 60,000, Ruthenberg called, and Yitzhaki folded. The turn brought the {A-Hearts}, and this time Shchemelev checked. Ruthenberg bet 110,000, and Shchemelev called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds}. Shchemelev checked again, and Ruthenberg carved out a bet of 135,000. Shchemelev made the call.

Ruthenberg turned over {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} for aces full of sixes, and Shchemelev mucked. Ruthenberg moves up to 1.04 million after taking that big pot, while Shchemelev slips to 565,000.
