"You Can't Call the Clock On Yourself."

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Noah Schwartz was on the button and Grudi Grudev was in the big blind. They went to a flop of {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} and Grudev bet 42,500. Schwartz called and the turn came {3-Spades}. Grudev moved all in for more than 200,000 and Schwartz went into the tank.

Schwartz hemmed and hawed with a smile on his face. After a couple minutes of indecision Schwartz asked the dealer to call the floor -- because he wanted to call the clock on himself.

The dealer summoned the floorman and was told of the request and the floorman told Schwartz, "You can't call the clock on yourself," and started to walk away.

Andy Philachack was at the same table and as the floorman was walking away he requested that a clock be called. The floorman returned and initiated a countdown.

Schwartz folded.

Reneaut Runs Out of Gas

Donald Depew is up to 287,000 in chips after eliminated Frenchwoman Claire Reneaut.

Reneaut moved all in from under the gun for the last of her stack and the action folded around to Depew who iso-shoved from middle position, forcing the others to get out of the way before they went to showdown:

Reneaut: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Depew: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

Reneaut grimaced after Depew hit two pair on the flop of {5-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{5-Hearts}, which held up after the turn and river ran out {2-Spades}, {8-Diamonds} to send Reneaut to the rail.

Before the PokerNews team left to return to media row, Bryn Kenney was quick to point out that his stack has gotten even larger. "740,000," he said.

Gavin Grabs a Pot

On a board of {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs}, a player led out for 12,000 and Gavin Smith made the call from the button. The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and the action checked around. The river was the {6-Clubs} and Smith's opponent checked once more. Smith counted out a stack of 35,500 and slid it into the middle of the table.

Smith's opponent tanked for about a minute and a half before finally making the call. Smith tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and his opponent let out a sigh and mucked his hand.

Lichtenberger Eliminated

We didn't catch the details of the hand, but Andrew Lichtenberger had shipped the rest of his stack over to an opponent who had tabled {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} before departing the Amazon Room. We're now down to 80 players.

Smith Loses a Little

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

We caught this hand on the flop of {4-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {10-Hearts} and after a checked Gavin Smith bet 18,500. His opponent then moved all in for 128,000 and Smith called.

Smith: {5-Hearts} {4-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}

The turn and river came {10-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} and with the ace on the river Smith lost the hand. Smith cut out the 128,000 and was visibly frustrated with losing the hand.

Gravatt Throws Off Grudev's Groove

On a flop of {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Grudi Grudev led out for 63,000 into a pot worth 35,000 before Jason Gravatt shoved all-in for 174,500. Grudev snap-called, tabling {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} which had hit top pair against Gravatt's {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Nothing changed on the turn of the {K-Hearts}, but Gravatt caught a miracle river {9-Hearts} for the set to double up!

We'll Bring the Chips, You Bring the Fish

Collina Takes a Hit

Lamberto Collina raised to 13,000 from late position only to find the player in the cutoff move all in for 70,500. Action folded back around to Collina who made the call.

Collina: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The board fell {5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Collina shipped a nice chunk of chips toward his opponent.
