Bui Cripples Damadeo in Huge Pot

Nivel 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

We walked up to a completed hand and a board reading {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, the dealer counting out 148,000.

Matthew Damadeo has {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} in front of him, but he was the one shipping chips to Dean Bui, whose {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} had come from behind for the flush.

Bui is now the chip leader and Damadeo needs to find some magic to stay alive.

Oshima Triples

Nivel 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Sean Rice opened to 4,000 from early position and Gregory Kolo made the call from the small blind. Kazu Oshima three-bet from the big blind to 17,000. Rice potted all in and Kolo and Oshima both called.

Rice: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Kolo: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Oshima: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Kolo had both players covered, but would need some help to knock them both out. The board ran out {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Oshima tripled up, while Kolo took down a decent side pot.

Rice was sent to the rail in 35th place.

Tom McCormick informed us of a hand that went down just before his table broke. He said they he defended his big blind with {K-}{Q-} and the flop came down {J-}{10-}{9-}. His opponent held {J-}{10-} and when all was said and done, McCormick won the hand and was sat with 121,000.

Reigning WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess is still in the mix here in Event #12 and recently stopped by the media desk to charge his phone. We asked him how his first year as world champion has been and he replied, "It's been awesome, I couldn't have asked for more."

He may not have asked for more but he could be on for his second bracelet here in this event as he has 47,000 chips and looks comfortable at his table.
