Chase Caught

Nivel 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
David Chase
David Chase

Just before the break, David Chase moved all in for 95,500 from the small blind and Jake Toole called from the big.

Chase: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Toole: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Chase liked his ace enough to go with it, but he was a bit unlucky Toole woke up with a pocket pair. The eights ended up holding too after the board ran out {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Chase takes home $12,714 for his 25th-place finish.

Frey Filleted

Nivel 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Hunter Frey moved all in under the gun for his last 49,500 and ended up getting a call from Matt Marafioto on the button. The blinds folded and the cards were turned up.

Frey: {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Marafioti: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Frey had some kicker issues, but the {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop gave him some gutshot straight draw hope. The {10-Hearts} turn was dry as could be, and that mean Frey needed either a three or four on the river to stay alive. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {5-Hearts}. Frey missed and was eliminated from the tournament.

Vayo for Vendetta

Nivel 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

We picked up the action on a {9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop when Viet Vo checked from the big blind and Gordon Vayo bet 20,000 from the under-the-gun position. Vo woke up with an all-in check-raise to 83,500, and Vayo made the call.

Vo: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Vayo: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Vo put it in with second pair, but it was no good as Vayo had flopped top pair. The {A-Spades} turn left Vo drawing dead, and just to rub salt in the wound the dealer put out the {A-Clubs} on the river to give Vayo quads.

Reiman Can't Eliminate the Last Woman Standing

Nivel 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Jackie Glazier moved all in for 82,500 from the cutoff and Ty Reiman, who was in the big blind, decided to look her up.

Glazier: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Reiman: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Glazier was well out in front thanks to her kicker, which is what earned her the double after the board ran out {2-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Levrini Doubles Through Kitai

Nivel 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In one of the last hands of Level 17, Vladimir Geshkenbein opened for 9,000 on the button only to have Gino Levrini three-bet all in for 51,000 from the small blind. Davidi Kitai called from the big, and that prompted Geshkenbein to get out of the way.

Kitai: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Levrini: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Levrini was ahead, and the {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop strengthened his position. Neither the {3-Diamonds} turn nor {5-Clubs} river changed a thing, and Levrini lived to fight another day.
