Munro Reads Detienne’s Hand

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Richard Munro opened the pot and was three-bet by the big blind Kevin Detienne. Munro wasted little time in moving all in.
When we arrived at the table Detienne had been thinking it over for a minute. He had Munro covered but seemed reluctant to finish what he had started with the three bet and had being giving a vague description of his had to Munro.

“I put you on jacks.” Munro said.

“I already told you I had a picture pocket pair. You can’t get lower than jacks.” Detienne replied. He decided to fold and showed his jacks. Munro said he had folded ace king suited and was ready to gamble at this stage.

"I Got A Good Feeling About That One"

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Only one hand later, Hamid Feiz was in the small blind and saw the three-way flop {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. He said towards our bloggers that he "had a good feeling about that one" and then moved all in for 75,000. The first opponent folded, John Macnaughton however said "Okay, I think I gonna call you."

Feiz was hoping for a flush this time with {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} and MacNaughton turned over {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Both the {J-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Clubs} river bricked and Feiz headed to the payout desk. That was some fun entertainment though!

Folding The Best Hand

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Hamid Feiz managed to fold pocket queens after an all in from early position and the all in of Alan Gillespie. Feiz was in the small blind and said that he was "folding the best hand." Before the showdown occurred, he changed his mind and then said "I know what you got. You have pocket kings!"

Feiz indeed called the hand of Gillespie, who turned over KdKh]. The shorter stack had {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and was sent to the rail after the board ran out {6-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}. During the hand, Feiz was begging the dealer not to put a queen out there.

Byrne River Bet

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Sean Byrne is a relatively new arrival at Michael Wilson’s table and they recently tangled in a pot.

Having got to the river of a board reading {4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades} Byrne bet into Wilson for 30,000.

Wilson sat there contemplating for a minute as Byrne started him down through his dark sunglasses giving nothing away. Wilson paid the price to see the cards and Byrne turned over {a-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Wilson’s curiosity was satisfied but his stack of chips was a little lighter.

Runner Runner Split Pot

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Timothy Roberts opened the action with a raise to 27,000 from under the gun and Carl Torelli in middle position as well as the big blind called. On the {A-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, the big blind checked and then folded after the action behind him. Roberts made it 45,000 to go and Torelli moved all in for another 128,500 on top.

Roberts tank called and tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Torelli only had {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}. However, he split the pot after the {8-Hearts} turn and the {A-Clubs} river gave both players a full house.

Phillips Looking for Miracles

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Dennis Phillips is getting short on chips and in folded to him in the small blind. He looked like he was going for a raise but sighed, “All right I call.” The big bind had a stack of chips and wasn’t having any of that, putting out a big raise, but before they could settle on the felt Phillips threw his cards away.

“I had suited connectors. I was looking for a miracle flop.”
