Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey raised to 700 on the button, a player came along for the ride in the small blind and Andrew Lichtenberger three-bet to 3,000 out of the big blind. Both Ivey and the player in the small blind called, and the dealer fanned a flop of {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

The action checked to Ivey, he took the opportunity to bet 6,000 and both of his opponents called. The trio checked on the turn ({2-Hearts}) and the river was the {a-Hearts}. All three players checked again and Lichtenberger showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for the nuts. The trap didn't work, but he still pulled in a nice pot.

The very next hand, Ivey raised in the cutoff, his neighbor on his left called again and Christian Harder defended his big blind. The flop came {6-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Harder checked and Ivey continued for 1,300. Only the player on his left called.

Ivey slowed down on the next two streets, check-calling bets of 1,500 on the turn ({a-Clubs}) and 2,350 on the river ({4-Spades}) and the player revealed {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Ivey showed {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and dragged the pot.

"Chip Leader"

Nivel 1 : 150/300, 0 ante

Three players took a flop of {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Spades}, including Phil Galfond and Justin Bonomo. The action checked to a player in middle position, he fired out 1,600 and both Galfond and Bonomo made the call.

The turn was a fourth spade — the {7-Spades} — and the trio checked.

The river was the {3-Clubs}, Galfond led out for 4,300 and only Bonomo called. Galfond ripped over {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for the nuts and Bonomo mucked.

"Chip leader," Galen Hall said to Galfond, grinning.
