Phil Galfond Eliminated in 6th Place ($48,043)

Nivel 7 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Phil Galfond - 6th Place
Phil Galfond - 6th Place

Hand #185: Kory Kilpatrick raised to 50,000 out of the small blind, and Jack Duong surrendered his big blind.

Hand #186: Phil Galfond moved all in for 111,000 from the hijack seat, Duong re-shoved from the small blind, and the hands were opened.

Galfond: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}
Duong: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Galfond picked up some outs to chop on a flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, but his tournament was over when the {j-Spades} fell on the turn. The {4-Hearts} on the river gave Galfond a meaningless pair of fours, and he shook a few hands before exiting.

Hand #181-184: Ace-High's Good

Nivel 7 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Chris Bell
Chris Bell

Hand #181: Noah Bronstein raised to 60,000 in the small blind, Eric Wasserson called in the big blind, and the flop fell {4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{7-Spades}. Both players checked. The turn was the {k-Hearts}, the two checked again, and the river was the {5-Diamonds}. Bronstein led out for 65,000, Wasserson called, and Wasserson won the pot with {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Hand #182: Chris Bell was first to act, and raised to 50,000. No one called.

Hand #183: Phil Galfond completed out of the small blind, Bell checked in the big blind, and the flop was {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Galfond led out for 26,000, and Bell folded.

Hand #184: Galfond raised to 40,000 on the button, Bell called in the small blind, and Kory Kilpatrick defended the big blind. The dealer fanned {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, both players in the blinds checked, and Galfond continued for 26,000. Only Bell called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts}, Bell checked again, and Galfond tossed out another 62,000. The river was a third club - the {2-Clubs} - and Bell knuckled a third time. Galfond slid out a final bullet worth 130,000. Bell considered the bet for a moment, rechecked his cards, then sat back in his chair. The North Carolina native crossed his arms, scratched his head, then grabbed some chips, riffling them with his left hand.

Bell shot a few looks at Galfond, then finally called. Galfond showed what looked like {10-}{6-}, and it was no good against Bell's {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for ace-high.

Hand #176: Jack Duong raised to 40,000 in the cutoff, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #177: Kory Kilpatrick was first to act, and he raised to 45,000. Bell defended the big blind, the flop fell {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{a-Spades}, and Bell checked. Kilpatrick bet another 45,000, and Bell folded.

Hand #178: Noah Bronstein raised to 45,000 from the hijack, Kilpatrick called out of the big blind, and both players checked on a flop of {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. They also knuckled on the turn ({j-Hearts}) and the river ({5-Diamonds}), and Bronstein dragged the pot with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Hand #179: Eric Wasserson raised to 40,000 from early position, and received no callers.

Taylor Paur - 7th Place

Hand #172: Duong raised to 40,000 from under the gun and received no action.

Hand #173: Noah Bronstein was first to act, and he raised to 45,000. Paul moved all in for 288,000 on the button, and Bronstein snap-called.

Bronstein: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Paur: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Paur was dominated, and hit the rail when the board rolled out {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Hand #164-167: Kilpatrick Doubles

Nivel 7 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Kory Kilpatrick doubles

Hand #164: Eric Wasserson raised to 40,000 in the cutoff, and received no callers.

Hand #165: Noah Bronstein raised in middle position and received no callers.

Hand #166: Phil Galfond raised to 40,000 from the hijack, Jack Duong three-bet to 104,000 from the big blind, and Galfond tank-folded.

Hand #167: Galfond raised to 40,000 from early position, Kory Kilpatrick moved all in for 233,000 on the button, and Duong reshoved from the small blind. Galfond folded.

Duong: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Kilpatrick: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Duong added a backdoor straight draw on a flop of {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs}, and the {8-Diamonds} on the turn kept that draw alive. Any ten, ace, or queen on the river would eliminate Kilpatrick, but the {9-Diamonds} was a brick and he doubled through.
