Seidel Crowned by Alaei

Nivel 3 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

When we happened upon Table 359, we discovered Erik Seidel with 17,500 out in front of him. Meanwhile, Daniel Alaei had 29,000 out front. Seidel was debating what to do, and eventually moved all in for right around 120,000. Alaei, who barely had him covered, snap-called.

Seidel: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Alaei: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

It was a bad spot for Seidel, and his best shot of winning was to catch either an ace or diamonds. The {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop made the diamonds a mute point, and the {J-Diamonds} turn meant Seidel needed an ace on the river to survive. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {Q-Diamonds}, the last card Seidel would see here in Event #20: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.

Danchev Eliminated; Bronstein and Marcus Heads Up

Nivel 3 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Dimitar Danchev finished runner-up to Alex Bolotin in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout last week, but wont be making a return trip to the final table.

As recapped to us by Bronstein, Danchev's {A-}{K-} fell to Bronstein's {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} after the final board read {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Linde and Cody Heads Up

Nivel 3 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jusr before the break...

With the board reading {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Luke Graham tanked for his remaining 43,000 or so after Jake Cody set him all in. After about two minutes Graham called all in.

Cody tabled {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a flush, Graham mucked (though his hand was shown to be {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}), and Cody scored the elimination.

Cody begins heads-up play against Dylan Linde with about a 1.8:1 chip lead.

"Sorry Guys, It Won't Be Too Much Longer"

Nivel 2 : 400/800, 100 ante

With around 17,000 in the pot and a board reading {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond bet 10,600 from the small blind and Nick Abou Risk paused for a few beats before announcing that he was all in for approximately 40,000.

Galfond didn't seem to like it, and he hit the tank to contemplate his decision. Nearly five minutes ticked by before Galfond told the table, which contained Risk and Stewart Newman, "Sorry guys, it won't be too much longer."

Indeed, another 30 seconds passed and Galfond released his hand.

Christophe de Meulder Eliminated by Daniel Alaei

Nivel 2 : 400/800, 100 ante

With the board reading {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, Christophe de Meulder got his last 17,500-ish into the middle with {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. However, Daniel Alaei had him beat with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} to score the elimination.

Alaei holds the chip lead at Table 359.
