Hallaert More Than Halves Glantz

Nivel 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The cutoff opened to 10,000 and after the button got out of the way, Matt Glantz three-bet all-in for 67,000 from the small blind. Hallaert called all-in from the big blind and the cutoff made a reluctant fold.

Glantz: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Hallaert: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} was a perfect flop for Hallaert and when the turn and river fell {10-Hearts} and {4-Hearts} the Belgian doubled through Glantz.

A Trio of British Lions

Nivel 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Over the past few years, one of the highlights of the World Series of Poker has been the now infamous British rails. The shoe-bomb, soccer-chanting, raucous British railbirds were there for Barny Boatman and Matt Perrins' bracelet wins in 2013, for Craig McCorkell's victory in 2012 and Jake Cody's Triple Crown completing victory in 2011.

So far in 2014, we've not been able to savour the delights — if that's what you would call them — of the loud British railbirds, but if Rhys Jones, Liam Alcock and Louis Salter managed to progress through to the final table we could have quite a crowd on our hands.

Doug Polk Flush With Chips

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Walking by a table we couldn't help but notice Doug Polk with a massive stack of 300,000 sitting in front of him. "I made like three flushes in a row," Polk told us. "People had aces, jacks, I just made flushes." The top online pro is looking to continue making his mark in the live arena after a 4th place finish for $770,237 at the 2014 Aussie Millions.

Another big stack in the room is Caufman Talley with just shy of 200,000 in chips.

Prendiville Piles Them High

Sean Prendiville

Dublin's Sean Prendiville has amassed a huge stack since the break and is now behind towers of chips worth a combined 165,000.

He added 30,000 to his stack while we watched on at his table, pushing all-in from the small blind for effective stacks of 10 big blinds with {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and being called by {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. It looked as if Prendiville was going to double up the player with queen-jack, but caught a six on the river of the {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} to bolster his own stack.

Fifty-eight players remain and Prendiville is among the biggest stacks in the room.
