Shields Scoops Massive Pot

Nivel 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Stud Hi-Low

Alerted by the celebration from Edison Shields, we ran towards his table and the dealer had already rushed away the cards of the two opponents that got knocked out. According to Shields, the action was capped on each street, and the two opponents had rolled up deuces and threes.

Shields scored the higher set on seventh with {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

His pocket aces were cracked yesterday on the final table of the $1,500 event, so this is a nice consolation early on.

One for Chau Chau

Nivel 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Stud Hi-Low

We didn't arrive until seventh street when Chau Giang bet and Aaron Stuery made the call.

Giang: {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs} / {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Stuery: {x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} / {x-}

Giang announced two pair and tabled his tens and sevens. Stuery then collected up his cards and sent them to the muck.

Adinolfi in Action

Nivel 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

Mario Adinolfi may not necessarily be a well-known name in the United States, but the Italian-pro is a regular on the European circuit. Adinolfi min-raised from early position, got two callers in middle position and the small blind. On the {10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, he bet and then three-bet when the opponent in middle position raised. The big blind folded.

The {2-Clubs} was checked through. Adinolfi bet the river and called with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} as the winning hand. Shortly after, he lost a pot and is still down from where he started.

Negreanu Scoops a Pot

Nivel 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

We arrived at the table with a board showing {k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Daniel Negreanu was making a call of 400 from an early position bet. The 5,000 or so chip pot went three-way to the {5-Clubs} river. All three players checked, and Negreanu tabled {2-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for trip deuce's. His opponents mucked.

Leah Off to a Good Start

Nivel 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

From the big blind, Mike Leah fired a single bet on the river of a board showing {3-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} and his opponent called from the cutoff. Leah showed {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} and discovered he was chopping versus {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Not too much to report here, but it gave us a chance to update his chip count.
