Rettenmaier Check-Shoves the Flop

Nivel 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

German superstar Marvin Rettenmaier raised to 450 from under the gun and Matt Stout folded from the next seat along. The gentlemen to Stout's left called then another player pumped it up to 1,250. Rettenmaier was the sole caller of this raise.

Rettenmaier checked to his opponent on the {6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop and faced a 1,200 continuation bet. Rettenmiaer waited for close to a minute before check-raising all-in for 4,300 chips. His opponent winced, checked his cards and flicked them towards the muck.

That Table Just Got Even Tougher

Nivel 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

On table two we already had a decent selection of poker talent in Calvin Anderson, Max Silver and Ankush Mandavia. Just after the level started, Martin Finger sat down as well and this should give us some fireworks sooner or later.

Allen Annihilated

Nivel 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

British pro and all-round good guy Kevin Allen's tournament is done and dusted and he's heading home to watch some of the World Cup matches that are taking place.

We were there to see Allen all-in in the big blind for four green T25 chips having lost all but those in hand where an opponent turned a straight after calling a raise with {3-}{2-}. The cutoff opened to 425 and Justin "Stealthmunk" Schwartz called in the small blind.

Schwartz checked the {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{J-Clubs} flop an folded to his opponent's continuation bet. Allen's {5-Hearts}{2-Spades} was trailing behind the {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades} and when the turn and river fell {J-Diamonds} and {4-Diamonds} it was game over for Allen.

Bernabeu Runs Into Kings

Nivel 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Samuel Bernabeu three-bet and then quickly called the all in of an opponent for 4,050 with {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Unfortunately for the Spaniard, he was up against {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and the {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board cost him more than half the stack.

Liebert Heading For the Lead

Nivel 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Kathy Liebert has had a great first four levels here and is currently chatting away with table mates Jared Hamby and Ireland's Dermot Blain. She seems relaxed, as you would be too if you had 25,000 chips in your stack.

Both Blain and Hamby lost a few chips in a hand just now. Hamby opened to 425 from the cutoff and was called by Blain in the small blind and the player in the big blind. All three players checked the {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, and both Hamby and Blain folded to a 600 bet on the {5-Clubs} turn.

Waxman Whacked

Nivel 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Matt Waxman has busted from the tournament and is heading for the showers. We didn't catch Waxman's exit hand, but he walked past us, phone in hand with a forlorn expression on his face.

Late Entries Included

Nivel 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Sebastian Pauli was it that busted Jason Duval last level with {A-}{7-} versus {A-}{10-} when a seven appeared on the turn. The German was up to 10,000 after that but "screwed up again" to lose the profit. His words, not mine.
