Nivel 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Dan O'Brien
Dan O'Brien

The show gets off to a bumpy start thanks to a few technical difficulties, but a great story about a David Williams bluff and another about "hood" poker get the ball rolling again. Dan O'Brien then joins the program to talk about his jet ski accident, his Me vs. U challenge against Danielle Andersen, and more.

Nice River Call from Boyd

Nivel 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} board was already completed and Simon Tse bet 20,000, sending Dutch Boyd into the think-tank. He eventually grabbed the four orange T5000 chips for the call, gave it another thought and then tossed them in the middle.

Tse was caught with his fingers in the cookie jar and had to turn over the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}; Boyd won the pot with {8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. His opponent and other players on the table agreed that it was a nice call.

Curious Finger

Shelby Standley

Shelby Standley had opened and was called by Martin Finger. They got to the turn card of a board reading {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Standley bet 21,000. Finger had just over 40,000 behind and was puzzling it out, trying to figure out what Standley was up to.

In the end, Finger let it go, but his curiosity was satisfied when Standley first showed him the {6-Hearts} and couldn’t resist showing him his second card {7-Hearts}.

“Pretty loose,” Finger said of the preflop action

Jaka Gets One

Nivel 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Faraz Jaka’s stack has been up and down for most of the day, but it just took a healthy uptick when he called a shove with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. He was pretty happy with his call considering he faced {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

The cards came out {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Jaka reached out and grabbed the chips to add to his own.

The Incredible Run of Nassif Continues

Nivel 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Sergey Pomerantsev picked up {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} from early position and Gabriel Nassif held {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} in the big blind. The most obvious thing happened between the two short-stacks and all chips went in. Nassif scored the two-outer on the {7-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} board and the Russian was left with only 900 chips.

Of those, 400 went in as ante for the next hand and he was forced all in for the last 500 chips with {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}. He went into showdown against {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Clubs} board was another punch right under the chin. Poker can be such a cruel game at times.

Just a few moments after that, Adil Sbai and Andrew Kloc headed to the payout desk. Sbai had lost the majority of his chips against Will Givens not that long ago and could not run up the remaining 13 big blinds anymore.

Givens Gathering Chips

Nivel 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Will Givens lost a chunk of change late in the last level trying to bust a short stack but it hasn’t taken him long to repair the damage and then some.

Givens opened for 5,000 and the big blind Adil Sbai defended. It was heads up to a flop of {a-}{9-}{4-} rainbow. Sbai checked to Givens who bet 4,500 and got a call. The turn card was the {4-Clubs} which now put two clubs on board.

Checked to Givens again and he went for a bet of 11,000 which Sbai called and the river {2-Clubs} completed the board. Checked to Givens who bet for a third time, putting out 22,000. Sbai moved all in and Givens made the call with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. All Sbai could show was the {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

The more chips Givens gathers, the more relaxed he is at the table and he is talking up a storm to his opponents at the moment.
