James Dempsey was facing a four-bet preflop when he reached into the dealer tray and pulled out the all-in chip, slapping it down in front of his stack. "He's all in," the dealer announced. His opponent called and showed 
to Dempsey's 
. The race was on and Dempsey needed to connect with the board somehow, but it was not to be, as the dealer spread out 
and Dempsey was crippled. After he matched his opponent's stack and slid over the chips, he was left with just 600 for himself.
He has since doubled up and has a few more chips to play with, but is still sitting quite short.
