Neo Hoang Eliminated in 6th Place ($69,084)

Nivel 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Neo Hoang

Hand #105: Skoldstedt raised to 125,000 and Hoang moved all-in. The Swede asked for a count and Hoang was at risk for his last 540,000. Skoldstedt checked his stack carefully, stared at the middle of the board and made the call.

Skoldstedt: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}
Hoang: {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop was somewhat devastating for Hoang as his opponent picked up an additional flush draw with the superior hand. After the {Q-Diamonds} turn, there was a glimmer of hope with the gutshot, but the {8-Clubs} river was of no help and Hoang headed to the payout desk.

Steve Gross - 7th
Steve Gross - 7th

Hands #91

Jeff Blenkarn opened for 110,000 and Steve Gross made it 250,000. Blenkarn moved all in and Gross made the call.

Gross had {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for the second hand in a row and Blenkarn turned over the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board came out {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and the back-to-back baby pairs did for Gross.

Hands #87-90: Kachan Doubles, Gross Short

Nivel 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #87: Viktor Skoldstedt raised to 105,000 and Jeff Blenkarn called out of the big blind. On the {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, Blenkarn check-raised all-in and Skoldstedt folded after making a continuation bet of 130,000.

Hand #88: Mike Kachan moved all in from early position for what looked like 640,000. All opponents folded and he showed a five.

Hand #89: Andrew Egan raised to 100,000 and claimed the blinds and antes.

Hand #90: Steve Gross moved all in and Mike Kachan called all in for less. All other players folded and they turned over their cards:

Gross: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Kachan: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop was no sweat yet, but the {8-Diamonds} turn now gave Gross an open-ended straight draw. It wasn't meant to be as the {10-Hearts} river gave Kachan a double up for 690,000 and Gross is now really short.
