Secondary Table Hands #18-21: Katz Losing Pots

Nivel 15 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #18: Cary Katz raised to 330,000 from under the gun and action folded all of the way around the table to Tom Hall. He called and the two saw {10-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{9-Clubs} hit the felt. Hall led into the raiser for 500,000 and Katz stuck around. The {Q-Spades} turned and both players checked to see the {9-Hearts} complete the board. Two more checks allowed Katz to table {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for kings and nines. This took down the pot and Katz stacked his new chips.

Hand #19: Action folded to Hall's small blind and he raised. Katz folded the big blind and Hall took it down.

Hand #20: Phil Ivey made it 330,000 to go and his only caller was Katz from the small blind. The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Katz check-folded to a 400,000 continuation.

Hand #21: Action came around to Katz on the button and he opened to 330,000. Rick Salomon called from the big blind and both players checked the {5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. The {10-Spades} hit the turn and Salomon checked again. Katz fired 300,000 only to have Salomon click it back to 600,000. Katz called and the {10-Diamonds} finished the board.

Salomon bet 500,000 on the river and Katz shrugged and tossed out a call, showing {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. It was no good, however, as Salomon held {8-Spades}{5-Hearts} for fives full of tens.
