Secondary Table Hands #26-30: Kaplan Slipping

Nivel 15 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #26: Brandon Steven was under the gun and made it 330,000. This took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #27: Gabe Kaplan raised to 350,000 from early position and it folded around to Steven's big blind. He called and the two saw {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} hit the felt. Steven checked, Kaplan bet 450,000, and Steven called.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Steven checked again. Kaplan reached for chips and fired 1 million into the middle. Steven called. Both checked the {8-Spades} river and Steven showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for top top. Kaplan mucked and Steven picked up the pot.

Hand #28: Steven completed his small blind and Rick Salomon made it 460,000 to go. Steven called and the flop came {10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Steven check-called a continuation of 500,000 and the {3-Diamonds} touched down on fourth. Steven checked and Salomon rapped the table back, allowing the {A-Clubs} to finish the board. Steve fired 775,000 only to have Salomon come over the top for 1.775 total. Steven let it go and Salomon took the pot.

Hand #29: Christoph Vogelsang opened to 330,000 from early position and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #30: Kaplan raised to 335,000 from his small blind and Phil Ivey called from the big. The {2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} flop touched down and Kaplan checked. Ivey led for 400,000 and Kaplan called.

Fourth street was the {8-Clubs} and both players checked to the {Q-Clubs} river. Kaplan checked and Ivey fired 1.2 million. Kaplan tanked for about two minutes before letting his cards go.
