Liv Boeree Chipping Up

Nivel 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

We got to the table with the flop showing {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Liv Boeree checked from the small blind, the player in the big blind checked, and a player in middle position bet 1,350. Boeree made the call and the player in the big blind folded.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and both players checked. Boeree led out for 3,500 on the {3-Hearts} river and her opponent quickly folded to give her the pot. That moved Boeree up to over 20,000 for the day as she was sitting with 20,500 after that hand.

They are breaking down the tables in Brasilia Bronze quickly. Here are some chip counts from the few tables remaining there:

Cantu With the Old 3x Opener

Nivel 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

We got to his table and Brandon Cantu opened for 900 with the blinds at 150/300. It was folded around to online legend, Mickey Petersen, in the big blind and the Denmark native called. The flop came {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Petersen checked to Cantu who quickly tossed out a bet of 1,050. Petersen folded to give Cantu the pot.

Waxman Makes a Nice Call

Nivel 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

We get to the table with a board of {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Matt Waxman facing a bet of 3,000. "Five," he asked his opponent, who said nothing and sat there motionless. Waxman continued to study him, a call collected in his left hand. Finally, the WSOP bracelet winner tossed the chips into the middle and his opponent turned over {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a busted straight draw. Waxman turned over {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and rubbed the cards back and forth against the table to show the dealer he had the better hand. The dealer didn't quite seem to understand what had happened so Waxman had to tell her that his ace high was good. She pushed the pot to Waxman who moved to 14,200 in chips after the hand.
