Enter Negreanu

Nivel 6 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

The total prize pool of this event is currently up to around $890,000.

Daniel Negreanu just won $8,288,001 in the Big One for One Drop.

Even though the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship might be a steep drop off after playing the Big One, for Negreanu, it doesn't matter. He just sat down in this event and immediately started chatting.

"Tonight we're drinking!" Negreanu started out with. "Cocktails!" he yelled across the room, but to no avail.

Minutes went by and Negreanu raised his voice once more, "Cocktails!"

Eventually a waiter came over and Negreanu ordered himself a well-deserved beer. We're expecting things to get very interesting throughout the night at this table, because Negreanu's celebrating his second-place finish.

Henry Orenstein called the bring-in and Juha Helppi did so as well. On fourth street, the bring-in folded when Helppi bet and Orenstein called. On fifth street both players checked and Orenstein folded on sixth, when Helppi bet.

Helppi: {X-}{X-} / {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Spades}{9-Spades}
Orenstein: {X-}{X-} / {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} --fold

Cernuto's Flush Takes It All

Nivel 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

We caught the action on fifth street with a lot of chips spread out across the table. The action was on Nikolay Losev, who had 2,400 out in front of him, with the initial bet being 1,200. The player to his left had 2,400 out in front as well, while Roland Israelashvili and John Cernuto had 3,600 invested.

"Raise," Losev finally announced, and the fourth player folded. Israelashvili capped it for 6,000 and Cernuto tanked for a minute before calling as well.

On sixth street Losev bet and both Israelasvhili and Cernuto called. Seventh was dealt face down and Losev bet again, both Israelashvili and Cernuto called.

Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{K-Clubs} --fold
Israelashvili: {X-}{X-} / {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{A-Clubs} / {X-}
Cernuto: {X-}{X-} / {6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {X-}
Losev: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} / {X-}

After the bet was called Losev showed {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Hearts} for three of a kind. Israelashvili tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a better three of a kind and to Cernuto's shock his flush was good. Cernuto shows his five diamonds and raked in this huge pot.

Billirakis Fears Freddie

Freddie Ellis

"What should we call it: Being 'Freddied' or being 'Ellis-stasized'?" Cory Zeidman asked the table as Freddie Ellis was putting on a verbal show during a hand versus Steve BIllirakis.

"Let's call it being 'Freddied,'" Brian Hastings said, and the table agreed.

Ellis has a special approach to the game, and besides having a lot of fun at the table the 78-year-old also throws off his opponents by talking to them.

The hand was completed by Ellis on third and Billirakis raised from his immediate left. One more player called and on fourth street Billirakis bet, Ellis called and the third player folded. On fifth street, Billirakis hit a pair of tens and bet. Ellis called.

On sixth it was Billirakis who checked and Ellis bet. Billirakis called and on seventh Billirakis checked after lots of talking from Ellis. Ellis showed a {2-Diamonds} and Billirakis wondered if that meant he had checked.

"No, I just wanted to show you," Ellis said with a big smile.

"You should watch out," BIllirakis kindly informed him. "For now, it's OK, but they might give you a penalty for that.

Ellis didn't seem to mind and eventually he checked behind announcing he had jacks up. Ellis showed {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and that was no good against Billirakis' {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a bigger two pair.
