David Malka Folds Aces Full Face Up

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

We got to the table with a large pot brewing. The board had been completed with {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{A-Clubs} showing and there was 60,000 in the pot with 105,000 in front of both David Malka and Pat Walsh. There was an additional 150,000 in front of Walsh, indicating a raise, and Malka was deep in thought.

"This is pretty sick if I fold this," said Malka, shaking his head.

"150 more right?" he asked the dealer, a focused stare on the five cards in the middle of the table. Malka smiled, a whimsical smile if there ever was one, and shook his head again.

A couple more minutes passed before Malka said "so sick. Sorry guys I'm almost done."

He finally folded, showing {A-}{A-}{X-}{X-} for aces full of fives. The table sat there stunned. Not believing what they had just witnessed. Ted Lawson said "that's a raising hand, not a folding hand. The only thing that can beat you is quad fives."

"You don't want to see," said Walsh to Malka.

"Yes, I do," responded Malka.

Walsh turned over {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{X-} for a flush but no quads. Malka sat there quiet, staring off into space, shaking his head some more.

Baron Busts Billirakis

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Isaac Baron and Steve Billirakis got it all in for Billirakis' stack on a {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop.

Billirakis: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Baron: {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Baron had a big draw, while Billirakis was looking for aces to hold. They did on the {2-Hearts} turn, but a {j-Diamonds} river gave Baron a flush.

AA Force's Savior Once More

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

"Come on, dealer!" we heard from Table 359.

We moved over there to see Leif Force all in, but he didn't need much help from the dealer. The board was {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Force: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Michael Shklover: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Force needed to dodge a spade, and the river was a {3-Diamonds}.

"How do you win every all in with aces?" asked Miltiadis Kyriakides.

"Practice at home," someone wisecracked.

Malka Finishes Blain

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Irish pro Dermot Blain just exited in 31st place when his {k-}{k-}{j-}{x-} did not catch the aces of David Malka.

Tran Takes One From Winter

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
JC Tran
JC Tran

Sean Winter opened for 22,000 and was called by JC Tran and Artem Litvinov. The three saw a flop of {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and would all check. On the {J-Clubs} turn, Winter led out for 54,000 and only Tran would make the call.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Winter bet again, this time for 92,000. Tran asked for a count and would make the call once the amount was verified.

"You're good," said Winter, mucking his hand. Tran turned over {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a nine high straight prompting Matt Stout to say "you're really good." Tran moved to over 900,000 with that pot while Winter is hovering near the 300,000 chip mark.

Baron First to Hit a Milly

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Jonas Entin check-called 44,000 from Isaac Baron on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs} board, and an {8-Diamonds} finished out the community. Entin checked, and Baron bet 85,000. Entin called after thinking briefly, and Baron showed {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a straight on the river.

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

We heard a loud curse coming from the corner of the tournament area, and it turns out Jared Bleznick busted out, sending his chips to Alex Kravchenko in one of the first hands after break.
