The Terminator

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

"You know, I keep calling short stacks with the worse hand and win." That was the reply from Khien Nguyen after my puzzled look when noticing his stack.

Steven Watts was not as fortunate and he has been eliminated. We already seen him move all in twice before on a short stack though.

Giles Knocks Out Danzer and Jarvis

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

George Danzer was all in preflop for his last 10,700 and was called by Darwin Giles one seat over. Matt Jarvis raised another 12,800 on top and Giles called that to see the {J-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}. He instantly moved all in and Jarvis called on the button for just under 20,000 with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Danzer turned over {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Giles had {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

Turn: {A-Clubs}
River: {8-Hearts}

Giles knocks out two of the big names and is up to a very healthy stack now.

Jason Wheeler Gets a Double Up

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jason Wheeler raised and got two callers with one opponent in the blinds defending {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Wheeler spiked the {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{K-Spades} flop where he cbet for 5,000 with about as much behind. On the {K-Clubs} turn the opponent in the blinds put him all in and Wheeler happily called with {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for trips. The meaningless {2-Diamonds} river completed the board and Wheeler raked in the chips.

Tan Couple

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Bart Lybaert and Loni Harwood are sitting next to each other in the Amazon Tan section. The Belgian was already up to more than 100,000 but then lost pocket queens versus {10-}{9-} preflop to fall back a bit.

Running Hot

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Khiem Nguyen opened the action with a min raise and then called the all in of an opponent for about 10,000. It was a coin flip with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} versus {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the {3-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} provided the necessary help. We also caught some bigger stacks and three more notables in the purple and orange section.

Andrew Lichtenberger (from Event 2)
Andrew Lichtenberger (from Event 2)

Facing a raise to 2,200, Andrew Lichtenberger moved all in for 11,500 from the big blind and his opponent made the call.

Lichtenberger: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Opponent: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Lichtenberger scooped in the double to over 24,000 in chips.

Dropping Fast

Nivel 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

The tournament clock shows 1,158 players remaining meaning we've lost nearly 300 players in the first level of play today. At this rate we'll be in the money at the end of the next level (probably not).
