Welcome to Day 2 of the record-breaking Millionaire Maker 2014

Millionaire Maker Crowds
Millionaire Maker Crowds

The two starting flights of the $1,500 + $150 Millionaire Maker Event #8 at the World Series Of Poker 2014 exceeded all expectations and a staggering 7,977 entries (including re-entries) generated a total prize pool of $10,768,950. Only 1,469 of those hopefuls bagged up chips after nine levels each were played and come back today at 2 p.m. when the action restarts in level ten at blinds 400-800 / ante 100. The top 819 spots will get paid at least $2,692 but everyone is eying the massive first-place payout of $1,319,587.

Chip leader going into Day 2 is Kyle Ho with 140,500, who edged out Andrew Seidman by less than 3,000 chips. Big names with decent stacks include the likes of Trevor Pope (85,000), Julian Thomas (76,700), Tony Gregg (64,400), Matt Glantz (60,000), Kyle Julius (59,300) and John Racener (56,200). The second out of three scheduled days is supposed to play ten levels of one hour each with a 60 minute dinner break after level six. However, it is unlikely that we will get down to a winner by tomorrow and thus a fourth day may be necessary to determine the next millionaire.
