Big Slick Doesn't Do the Trick for Deeter

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We missed the first two bets, but it appeared Trevor Deeter raised from late position and Brian Hastings three-bet from the small blind. Deeter responded with a four-bet to 200,000, Hastings five-bet to 375,000, and Deeter shoved for 552,000. Hastings made the call and the cards were turned up.

Deeter: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Hastings: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Deeter was in bad shape, and his best shot at survival was to find either an ace or diamonds. The {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop contained neither, and the {J-Clubs} turn meant an ace and an ace only would save Deeter. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {3-Clubs}. Deeter missed and was eliminated from the tournament while Hastings chipped up to 3.23 million.

Force Stumbles Against Stembera

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Leif Force
Leif Force

Leif Force raised to 40,000 on the button, Michael Stembera defended his big blind, and the flop fell {8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}, Stembera led out for 40,000, and Force raised to 115,000. Stembera thought for a bit before calling.

The river was the suicide king ({k-Hearts}), and Stembera checked. Force knuckled behind, then mucked when Stembera showed {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for aces and eights.

Bozinovic Busts Roberts

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Daryl Roberts was all in with {A-}{5-} against the pocket aces for Vladimir Bozinovic. Bozinovic's aces held up, giving him a set on the turn with the case bullet, and he was able to eliminate Roberts from the tournament.

Bozinovic now has nearly two million in chips.

Lussier vs. Zaichenko

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Wisconsin's Bradley Lussier opened for 40,000 on the button only to have Andrey Zaichenko three-bet to 110,000 from the big blind. Not to be outdone, Lussier four-bet to 201,000 and Zaichenko called to see a flop of {q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Zaichenko checked, Lussier bet 182,000, and the Russian called.

Both players then checked the {7-Spades} turn as well as the {7-Hearts} river and Zaichenko rolled over the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for two pair. It was good as Lussier sent his cards to the muck.

Kamran Pressures Neff

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Michael Kamran raised to 44,000 and the action folded to Peter Neff who three-bet from the button to 115,000. The action was folded back to Kamran who tanked for a bit before four-betting to 230,000.

Neff did some tanking of his own but ultimately he made the call.

The flop brought out {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Kamran took down the pot after firing out another 223,000 chips.

More for Mcewan

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Matthew Mcewan opened with a raise to 49,000 from middle position, and Griffin Benger reraised to 127,000 from the hijack seat. Play folded back to Mcewan, and he called to see the {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop.

After Mcewan checked, Benger bet 112,000. Mcewan called, and the turn was the {4-Hearts} to pair the board. Mcewan checked again, Benger fired 326,000, and Mcewan called with approximately 720,000 behind.

Following the {6-Hearts} river card, Mcewan and Benger both checked.

Mcewan showed the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for two pair, tens and fours, and Benger mucked.

"I Wish That Hand Was on TV"

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We found Andrew Liporace in early position and tanking against a bet of 135,000 from Dan Smith, who was in the big blind. The board was {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and Liporace only had 415,000 total. He agonized over the decision, first laying his head on the table's rail, then letting out a deep sigh as he shifted in his seat.

"Sorry guys, it's tough," he said. "How old are you?" he asked Smith, perhaps looking for any clue that would nudge him towards the right decision.

Smith remained motionless, sitting straight up in his seat until he uttered the word "time" a few moments later.

Halfway through his 10-second countdown, Liporace whipped his cards into the muck.

"I wish that hand was on TV," he said.

Ho and Jacobson Spar

Nivel 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Faced with a raise to 44,000 from Maria Ho, Martin Jacobson reraised to over 100,000 on the button. The action folded back to Ho, who folded as well, and Jacobson was pushed the pot.

The very next hand, Ho raised to 44,000 from under the gun, and Jacobson called in the cutoff. The two took a flop of {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Ho led out for 56,000, and Jacobson called.

Both players checked on the turn ({a-Clubs}), the river was the {10-Clubs}, and Ho led out for 115,000. Jacobson quickly folded.
