Jacobson Hits 3.5 Million

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson was faced with a bet of 165,000 on the final board of {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Spades} from Brian Roberts. Jacobson made the call, and Roberts showed the {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for king high. Jacobson showed the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of nines and won the pot to move to 3.5 million in chips.

Below are the full counts from the entire table, including Jacobson and Roberts.

Jacobson Takes Some More From Ho

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

It's not been a good level for Maria Ho so far, as we just counted her stack at 750,000 after she lost a pot to Martin Jacobson.

Ho raised before the flop and Martin Jacobson called from the button. The player in the big blind called as well and the flop brought out {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The big blind checked, Ho bet 85,000 and Jacobson was the only caller.

On the turn the {8-Diamonds} hit and Ho tanked for a bit before checking and Jacobson checked behind. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Ho checked again. Jacobson bet 225,000 and Ho pushed her cards towards the muck after about 30 seconds.

Johnson Deals Aguiar Fatal Blow

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jonathan Aguiar busted out.
Jonathan Aguiar busted out.

Jonathan "FatalError" Aguiar shoved all in for about 420,000 in middle position, and players quickly folded until action was on Chris Johnson, who called from the big blind.

Johnson: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Aguiar: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

One of the players asked for an ace and two diamonds for a nice sweat. Instead it was a sweat of a different sort: {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Clubs}, giving Aguiar an open-ended straight draw and an overcard. A diamond would make things even more sweaty, and the dealer delivered one with the {2-Diamonds}.

Johnson had to be having flashbacks to last year's main event, when Jackie Glazier flushed him out on the river with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, but this year Johnson got the brick he needed with the {6-Spades}, eliminating Aguiar and recouping some of the chips he recently bled away.

Charette Runner-Runner'd

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Simon Charette
Simon Charette

From the cutoff, Peter Placey raised to 85,000 and Simon Charette moved all in from the big blind for 470,000. After a few moments contemplating, Placey made the call to put the 2012 WSOP Bracelet winner at risk.

Charette: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Placey: {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The dealer spread a {9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop to give Placey outs to any king, queen or eight as the dealer delivered the {10-Hearts} on the turn.

Unfortunately for the Canadian, the {10-Clubs} landed on the river to see Charette hit with a runner-runner blow to end his tournament as Placey scooped the pot to move to 1.5 million.

Wilson Gives Up

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Lee Taylor checked to Daniel Wilson on a flop of {k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, and he bet 45,000. Taylor called.

The turn was the {2-Spades}, Taylor check-called another 80,000, and the {7-Spades} completed the board. Taylor checked a third and final time, Wilson gave up, knuckling behind, and Taylor showed {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a pair of aces.

Wilson mucked.

Aron's Pocket Aces No Good

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

With around 700,000 in the pot and a board reading {5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Craig McCorkell checked from the big blind and Michael Aron slid out a bet of 550,000 from middle position. McCorkell waited about 20 seconds before making the call, and that prompted Aron to roll over the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for two pair. It wasn't good though as McCorkell had turned a straight with the {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Aoki Folds to Jam

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The board read {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} when we saw Michael McGonigle check over to Mikiyo Aoki. Aoki reached for chips and pushed 200,000 into the center of the table. McGonigle came over the top with an all-in check-raise for 550,000 total. Aoki went deep into the tank before eventually opting to release her cards.

Aoki is now down to 750,000 in chips while McGonigle has boosted his stack to 1.15 million.

Jattin Makes Senft Sweat

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

After unknown action a blind battle had turned into a very big preflop all in confrontation. The player in the small blind, Maximilian Senft, had the player in the big blind, Farid Jattin, covered. Jattin was all in for about 720,000 chips and the showdown went as following.

Senft: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Jattin: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{A-Spades} and Senft's rail erupted in a loud cheer as their friend raked in this very big pot.

"Now that was a seat! A big sweat!" Simon Charette said to Senft, who was trying to catch his breath after winning this big pot.

Senft smiled and stacked his newly won chips, as he's now right around the average stack.

Nivel 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Manig Loeser was all in for about 495,000 from early position against Luis Assuncao in the next seat over with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. The flop fell {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}, keeping Loeser comfortably out in front. The {9-Clubs} turn, however, gave Assuncao a flush draw. The {7-Clubs} river completed the board, giving Assuncao a flush to eliminate Loeser.
