Big Pot Alert! Nahum Sends Vilkki Packing

John Nahum
John Nahum

Pre flop Juha Vilkki raised from the button to 2,600 after which the action folded to John Nahum who was in the big blind. Nahum decided to raise to 8,400 and Vilkki didn't hesitate before making a pot size four-bet. Nahum pushed all-in and Vilkki called for his total stack of 53,000 chips.

Juha Vilkki{A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Hearts}
John Nahum{A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} giving Nahum the winning set and the chip lead in the tournament!

Balls to Bluff?

Victor Ramdin and Rifat Palevic played out a heads-up pot in the blinds that saw former tank-fold on the river.

Palevic check-called a 14,000 bet on the turn to see the river of a {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board. Here the Swede led out for a full pot-sized 43,800.

Ramdin went into the verbal tank. He said, "Ace-four-five with spades is the only hand I can put you on."

After another minute or so he folded and added, "You don't have the balls to bluff me."

"I had you all the way", responded the Swede.

Stout's Run Ends

He caught a lucky break on day one against Sam Stein to double up his very short stack and got quite a rush going. The rush ended today as Stout finished in 25th place busting against Alexander Dovzhenko.

On a {Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop Stout put his money into the pot after Dovzhenko had made a bet. The all-in was for around 26,000 chips and the Russian had him barely covered.

Alexander Dovzhenko{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Matt Stout{K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The turn was the {5-Spades} and the river the {A-Clubs} giving Dovzhenko a straight and busting Matt Stout. We're down to just four tables.

Ramdin Raids Mortensen's Chest

Nivel 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Victor Ramdin has eliminated former World Champ Carlos Mortensen. We missed the hand but Ramdin was kind enough to fill us in on most of the details.

He raised to 2,100 and called when the Spaniard three-bet to 6,500. The flop came down {k-}{9-}{4-} rainbow and Mortensen bet half his remaining stack and called when Ramdin set him all-in.

Mortensen: {a-}{a-}{j-}{3-}
Ramdin : {k-}{9-}{q-}{q-}

The board ran out blank so Ramdin's two-pair held up. He's up to 112,000 chips now.
