Ferdinando Costagliola
Ferdinando Costagliola

Georg Strebel raised to 550,000 on the button. Ferdinando Costagliola then shoved all in for roughly 4,000,000 in the small blind, being snap called by Strebel, who covered him.

Ferdinando Costagliola: 99 All in
Georg Strebel: AK

It was looking like Costagliola would double up when the 9QQ flop gave him a full house. The Q turn saw some opportunities for Strebel, however, and he made the better full house when the A river completed the board.

Costagliola had no choice but to depart the tournament in 11th place while Strebel chipped up to an eight-figure stack.

Kschammer Doubles in Limped Pot

Nivel 35 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Daniel Kschammer
Daniel Kschammer

Antonio Menga limped in from the small blind and Daniel Kschammer checked his option in the big blind.

The 799 flop went check-check before the A turn saw Menga check-call the 450,000 bet of Kschammer.

The 7 river completed the board. Menga checked, after which Kschammer jammed all in for 2,175,000, a slight over-bet.

Menga asked for a count, thought it over for a bit, and then made the call. Kschammer tabled 94 for a rivered full house, beating the 106 of Menga, who had called off with a flush.

Daniel Kschammer

Daniel Trunk moved in from the cutoff, covering the rest of the remaining players. Daniel Kschammer sat in the small blind and mulled things over for a good while before making the call for 6,150,000.

Daniel Kschammer: 1010 All in
Daniel Trunk: 44

Kschammer looked poised to get a huge double-up, although the JA5 flop did bring Trunk a flush draw.

The A turn did nothing for either player, but the 9 river saw Trunk make his flush to eliminate Kschammer in brutal fashion.

Kschammer took his leave in 10th place, becoming the final table bubble.

Antonio Menga
Antonio Menga

Antonio Menga was automatically all-in in the big blind. Georg Strebel then limped in from middle position before Alberto Speranzoni shoved for 2,800,000 in the cutoff.

Viorel Gavrila rejammed on the button with the covering stack, forcing out Strebel and creating a three-way all-in.

Antonio Menga: AJ All in
Alberto Speranzoni: 77 All in
Viorel Gavrila: AQ

The 695 flop saw Speranzoni remain ahead, but the J turn made Menga top pair to take a big lead.

The 9 river paired the board, quadrupling up Menga and seeing the big side pot being shipped to Speranzoni.

The action folded to Viorel Gavrila in the small blind, who moved in for his last 2,750,000. Rostyslav Sabishchenko sat in the big blind and snap called with the bigger stack.

Rostyslav Sabishchenko: A10

The 8A6 flop paired both players, but Sabishchenko's top pair remained best on the J turn and 5 river to take down the pot and eliminate Gavrila in seventh, one hand after doubling him up.

Antonio Menga Eliminated in 7th Place (€25,700)

Nivel 36 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Antonio Menga
Antonio Menga

Antonio Menga, sitting on the button, decided to go all in for 2,700,000 with his hand of A8. In the big blind, Daniel Trunk, the dominant stack at the table, requested a count before making the call with K9.

The flop revealed J910, giving both players the potential for a straight, but Trunk held the edge with a pair of nines.

Things took a dramatic turn when Menga hit the A on the turn, solidifying his lead and leaving Trunk with limited outs. However, the excitement wasn’t over just yet. The river brought the Q, completing Trunk's straight and sending Menga to the rail as he exited the tournament.

Daniel Trunk raised his button to 900,000 before Georg Strebel piled in his 3,500,000 remaining chips from the small blind.

Trunk instantly called once the action was back on him, putting Strebel at risk of being the next elimination.

Georg Strebel: A5 All in
Daniel Trunk: AK

The QJQ flop provided some chop outs, but the 10 turn left Strebel drawing to a straight to chop. The J river did not bring it, however, seeing Trunk expand his lead with Broadway and sending Strebel out in sixth.

Przemyslaw Szymanski
Przemyslaw Szymanski

Rostyslav Sabishchenko raised to 1,000,000 in the cutoff. Przemyslaw Szymanski then jammed all in for 7,650,000 on the button before Fadeev reshoved in the big blind.

Sabishchenko quickly got out of the way as the other players tabled their cards.

Przemyslaw Szymanski: AQ All in
Dmitrij Fadeev: KK

It was looking like Szymanski needed an ace to double up but instead he flopped two queens on QQ8 for a massive lead.

The J turn did bring Fadeev a much-needed king, and the Q river granted Szymanski four of a kind to win the pot in style.

Dmitrij Fadeev opened the action on the button with a raise to 1,125,000, holding JJ. In the small blind, Alberto Speranzoni looked down at A8, checked Fadeev's stack, and decided to shove all in. Fadeev quickly called, and Speranzoni wasn't thrilled when the cards were revealed.

The flop changed everything as it came 567, giving Speranzoni an open-ended straight draw and a glimmer of hope.

The 5 on the turn didn’t help either player, but the river stunned the table as the 9 completed Speranzoni’s straight, sending Fadeev out in 5th place.
