Get Ready for Fast-Paced Action: Event #11: €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo Bounty Hunter Kicks Off

Joakim Andersson

The excitement is heating up at King’s Resort in Rozvadov as the World Series of Poker Europe gets ready for its Main Event. But before that, players have a prime chance to pad their bankrolls in Event #11: €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo Bounty Hunter. This fast-paced tournament kicks off at 2 p.m. local time with a €300,000 guarantee, plus an extra €300 for every player who gets knocked out.

Last year, Sweden’s Joakim Andersson took down this event, beating out a field of 570 players. He held his own at a tough final table featuring bracelet winner Jonathan Pastore from France and Jacopo Achille, who won the $1,050 No-Limit Hold’em Bounty Deepstack Online Bracelet in 2022.

Last year was Andersson’s first shot at WSOPE, and he made it count by winning a coveted bracelet in his debut event. He nearly swept the final table, claiming all but one bounty before defeating Samantha Algeri heads-up for the win.

On the very first hand, in a blind versus blind situation with already over 20,000 in the pot, Alf Martinsson shoved all in on a board of A99710. After some deliberation, Andreas Brunner made the call.

Brunner revealed A7, giving him two pair—aces and nines—but Martinsson had K9 for trip nines. Martinsson scooped the pot and claimed the first bounty of the tournament.

Renzi Goes Big: A Bold Bet Swells His Stack

Nivel 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

With a pot at 1,000 and the flop showing 389, Daniel Renzi, sitting in the small blind, led the post-flop action with a 500 bet. Amiel Gamliel, in the big blind, made the call, and Paul Runcan, on the button, raised it to 2,500. Both Renzi and Gamliel called.

The J hit the turn, and after both blinds checked, Runcan fired 6,000. Renzi responded with a raise to 13,500, which got Gamliel to fold, but Runcan called.

With the 3 on the river, Renzi bet 10,400, leaving himself just 100 behind. Runcan decided to fold, allowing Renzi to scoop a solid pot and boost his stack.

Märgner’s All-In Fails as Skurzynski Hits a King

Nivel 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Sebastian Skurzynski got things rolling with a raise to 500 from the hijack, but Julian Märgner in the cutoff had other ideas and went all-in for his last 4,500. The player in the big blind asked Skurzynski how much he had left but ultimately decided to fold. Skurzynski made the call, and it was time for the showdown.

Julian Märgner: A2All in
Sebastian Skurzynski: K4

Märgner felt pretty secure being ahead, but that confidence didn’t last long as the flop came down 6K5, giving Skurzynski a pair of kings. The turn and river didn’t help Märgner, and he was eliminated from the tournament, handing Skurzynski the pot and his bounty.
