Sitting on the button, Maurice Tan decided to go all-in with his pocket threes, 3♥3♠. Luc Ramos, sitting in the small blind, called him with K♦Q♠.

At first, it looked like Tan was in good shape when the flop came out 9♦6♥6♣. But then things took a turn when the K♠ hit on the turn, giving Ramos the upper hand with a better pair.

Tan must have been praying for another three to save him, but luck wasn’t on his side. The river showed the J♦, and just like that, Tan was out of the tournament.

The river was the J♦ and Mahaut improved to trips to secure the double up. "This guy's a survivor," tablemate Giridhar Tatavarti said.

At another table, Candido Cappiello bet 650,000 from the big blind on a board of J♠J♣3♠7♠J♦ and Xiaohua Yang called in middle position. Cappiello showed J♥3♠ for quad jacks and Yang tossed two aces into the muck.
