El Yaacoubi Turns Up the Heat, Thiemer Can’t Compete

Nivel 25 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Rachid El Yaacoubi kicked off the action with a raise to 160,000 from the hijack, and Frederik Thiemer responded with a hefty three-bet to 625,000 from the small blind. After some thought, El Yaacoubi decided to make the call, setting up an exciting heads-up pot.

The dealer laid out the K67 flop, and Thiemer continued the aggression with a bet of 300,000. El Yaacoubi, however, wasn’t backing down and called without much hesitation.

When the 3 hit the turn, Thiemer slowed down and checked. Sensing an opportunity, El Yaacoubi seized the moment and fired a bet of 735,000. The pressure was too much for Thiemer, who folded, leaving the pot in El Yaacoubi’s hands.
