Ivan Banic Eliminated in 16th Place (€8,020)

Nivel 31 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Ivan Banic
Ivan Banic

With the big blind being absent, Gary Tatavarti bet enough to put Ivan Banic in the small blind all-in. Banic considered his options for a few moments before calling off his stack of 2,150,000.

Ivan Banic: K5 All in
Gary Tatavarti: 64

The 88J flop was safe for Banic, even giving him some counterfeit opportunities.

The 6 turn, however, paired up Tatavarti, and the Q river could not save Banic from being the first to depart from the final two tables.

Arturo Paduano

Andreas Krause raised to 800,000 from the cutoff and Arturo Paduano defended out of the big blind.

The 345 flop saw Paduano shove for 2,425,000 and Krause make the call.

Arturo Paduano: 73 All in
Andreas Krause: AA

Krause was ahead with pocket aces, but Paduano had a lot of outs he could hit to stay alive. Paduano turned a straight on the 5 turn to take the lead. The 3 river didn't change anything and Paduano had cracked Krause's aces to double.

Iman Ghashayar raised to 600,000 under the gun and picked up calls from Xiaohua Yang in early position and Christopher Campisano in the hijack.

Yang checked the 8 turn and Campisano bet 1,700,000. Yang called to see the Q river where he moved all in. Campisano snap-called for 1,600,000.

Yang showed 66, while Campisano turned over 1010 for a set as he earned the double up.

In his first hand back to the table since his one-round penalty, Adrian Cazacu raised under the gun to 600,000 with Gary Tatavarti making the call from the big blind.

Both players checked a board of 10Q4Q7 all the way down until Cazacu bet 1,700,000. Tatavarti thought it over briefly before making the call. Cazacu turned over A10 for a pair of tens which was good enough to win him the pot.

Nivel 32 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Frederik Thiemer was down to 2,400,000 chips, which he pushed in from middle position. Dimitrios Anastasakis called in the hijack before the rest of the table got out of the way.

Thiemer flopped a five on 539 to take a big lead. Anastasakis could not improve on the K10 runout, seeing his opponent double up and overtake him on the leaderboard.

Gary Tatavarti Eliminated in 15th Place (€9,930)

Xiaohua Yang

Xiaohua Yang raised to 800,000 in middle position, Gary Tatavarti moved all in for 5,300,000 in the cutoff, and Yang called.

Gary Tatavarti: A6 All in
Xiaohua Yang: AJ

Yang had Tatavarti dominated as the K32K board left open the possibility of a chop heading to the river, but it came A to give both players two pair as Yang's jack-kicker played to send Tatavarti to the rail in 15th place.

The table was still discussing Adrian Cazacu's confrontation with Tatavarti after he had left the table. "He's playing 500-1K, so it doesn't make a difference to him. But for me, that was a big spot in my life," Cazacu said.

Anastasakis Gets Jammed On

Nivel 32 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Vazha Kometiani was first to act and raised to 850,000. It then folded to Dimitrios Anastasakis in the big blind, who made the call.

Kometiani continued for 700,000 on the 29J flop, being check-called by Anstasakis.

Anastasakis checked for a second time on the 2 turn. Kometiani then pushed all in and received a snap fold from Anastasakis, who was left with six big blinds.

Luigi Pignataro raised enough from the button to put Dimitrios Anastasakis and Vazha Kometiani all in and both players folded.

"We have this guy taking a minute every hand and short stacks always doubling up. I speak with a smile. Now we go in peace," Pignataro said to table nemesis Andreas Krause.

"You started the war. We go to the end," Krause replied.

Sebastien Lucina then moved all in from under the gun and Anastasakis called on the button.

Dimitrios Anastasakis: 99 All in
Sebastien Lucina: J10

The board ran out 774Q2 and Anastasaskis' nines held up to earn him the pot. The stacks were counted down and Anastasakis had 2,100,000, with Lucina having him covered by just 5,000.

Lucina was forced all in from the big blind the next hand as Pignataro limped in from middle position and Krause came along from the small blind. Pignataro bet 525,000 on the Q910 flop and Krause folded K9.

Sebastien Lucina: 75 All in
Luigi Pignataro: K5

"I know how you play," Krause said to Pignataro, who was ahead with his king-high. The board ran out A6 and Lucina was sent to the rail.
