The board was already out and showed J♠Q♠10♣7♣8♦ in a pot between Edin Nuhanovic and Albert Sanchez.
With around 23,000 in the pot, Nuhanovic bet enough to put Sanchez all-in. Sanchez only had 10,200 left in his stack and after a few minutes of thought, he folded his hand.
Nuhanovic was kind enough to turn over A♥K♥ for the nuts.
On a flop of A♥5♠10♠, Diego Porto and Marco Sposito got all of their chips into the middle with Porto being the player at risk of elimination.
Diego Porto: A♣K♥
Marco Sposito : K♠Q♠
Porto was ahead with top pair, but Sposito had a lot of outs to send him to the rail. The 10♣ turn and 8♦ river were not any of those outs though, as Porto doubled up through Sposito with a pair of aces.
Joan Homs opened to 500 from under the gun and was called by Marco Sposito on his direct left. Phil Gross three-bet to 2,000 from middle position and saw Nhat Truong cold-call from the small blind. Homs asked to see Gross' stack of around 16,000 before also calling. Sposito, who had 6,200 more behind, put in the rest of his chips, prompting Gross to do the same. Truong got out of the way, and Homs did, too.
Marco Sposito: K♦9♣
Phil Gross: J♥J♣
Sposito had three immediate outs and paired up to take the lead on the A♣K♠10♣ flop. The 5♣ turn and 5♥ river confirmed his double up to stay in contention.
Action was caught on the river, with the pot bloated for a hand taking place in Level 1.
Laurent Doigni was in early position and fired out 5,500 on the 3♠J♣3♦K♠Q♥ board. Edu Garcia Freixa made it 18,000 from the hijack and was met with a quick call. Freixa tabled K♣K♦ for a full house, besting Doigni's Q♣J♥, who was left with around 5,500.
Doigni dropped a small pot in the following hand to chip down some more but kept himself in the mix.
Carlos Lopez opened to 300 from middle position and Ramon Ballarin called from the button. Doigni defended his big blind and then led out for 800 on the 10♦6♣3♣ flop. Lopez made it 2,400, which folded out Ballarin; however, Doigni called, leaving 500 behind.
Doigni check-called off the last of his chips on the 4♣ turn and the cards were tabled.
Laurent Doigni: Q♣2♠
Carlos Lopez: Q♠Q♥
Doigni was on the verge of becoming the first casualty of the day but the 5♥ river gave him a straight to crack Lopez's pocket queens.
Xavier Sala raised to 300 from middle position. Barny Boatman called on the button before Francesc Xavier Guixeras Giner and Jose Cano Sanchez called out of the blinds.
Both the blinds checked the 6♥9♠2♥ flop and Sala bet 600. Boatman and Giner folded, but Sanchez stuck around with a call.
The 7♠ came on the turn and Sanchez check-folded to a bet of 1,700 from Sala.
Sergio Castillo opened to 300 from the cutoff before Mikael Darwich three-bet to 1,000 from the button. Rolando Carrera put in the cold four-bet to 3,300 from the big blind and folded out both opponents.
A big pot was brewing on one table over between Toan Chan Truong and Phil Gross. With around 12,000 in the pot on the J♣9♠6♦4♣J♠ board, Truong fired out 14,000 from the big blind. Gross mulled over his option in middle position before flicking in a calling chip.
Truong tabled K♥J♥ for trip jacks and Gross mucked his hand.
The flop showed 7♥A♥5♠ with Liutauras Armanavicius and Marius Zidonis having checked from the blinds. Alejandro Auset Domper bet 500 from the button which only Armanavicius called.
Armanavicius check-called a bet of 1,200 from Domper on the 9♠ turn to see the 6♠ fall on the river. Armanavicius checked and Domper bet 2,000. Armanavicius snap-called and was shown A♦8♣ by Domper for a straight. Armanavicius flipped over 8♥3♥ for the same straight and the two players chopped the pot.
