It's official. After its return in 2023 following a 12-year hiatus, PokerStars has confirmed that The Big Game on Tour is back again this year, with more episodes to be filmed at the NAPT Las Vegas festival.
Ten episodes of the show were filmed last year, with the likes of Phil Hellmuth, Maria Ho, Lex Veldhuis and Sam Grafton all taking part. The show features a lucky Loose Cannon who receives $50,000 and has to survive 150 hands playing $50/$100 with a table of poker pros, ambassadors, and celebrities.
PokerNews spoke with Big Game on Tour judge and commentator James Hartigan ahead of the show's return, and he says he's thrilled the show is back.
Day 1g of the €1,100 ESPT Main Event is on a 25-minute break.
Michel Karim raised to 1,000 second to act and was called by Sergei Krementsukov, Jochen Gaerke and Neil Rogers from the hijack, cutoff and big blind.
Rogers led out for 3,000 on the 10♦9♥2♣ flop, folding out Karim and Krementsukov. Gaerke moved all in as the bigger stack and Rogers called off the 12,600 more he had behind.
Neil Rogers: A♦10♣
Jochen Gaerke: J♦J♥
"Two times in a row, red jacks," said Gaerke as his overpair had Rogers in bad shape. The J♣ turn improved Gaerke to a set to lock up the hand. Rogers and Gaerke exchanged a handshake as the 8♥ river completed the board and the Brit headed out of the tournament room.

On his second and final bullet of the flight, Haraldur Petursson raised from the button to 1,200. Santiago Blasco three-bet out of the small blind to 3,400. Petursson four-bet shoved for 7,800 and Blasco reluctantly called.
Haraldur Petursson: 10♣10♦
Santiago Blasco: 6♥6♣
The completed board of 8♠5♣5♠3♠7♥ didn't improve either player and Petursson won the pot with a pair of tens.

With 19,000 in the middle, the flop of 6♥J♦8♥ was checked to De Rose, and he moved all in for 21,300. Labat folded, but Darwich made the call for about half of his chips.
Francesco De Rose: Q♠Q♣
Mikael Darwich: 10♠10♣
De Rose was ahead with the overpair and he stayed ahead on the J♥7♦ runout, earning him a full double up.
