Another action-packed day of the PokerStars European Poker Tour is upon us here at Casino Barcelona, and the finish line for the PokerStars Estrellas Poker Tour (ESPT) Main Event is now within sight.
Leading the way is Argentinean pro Alejandro Lococo, who ended up far and away the chip leader on Day 2 after bagging up over 5,190,000 in chips. Lococo is no stranger to success in EPT events, having taken down three titles so far — including a win last year in a six-handed No Limit Hold'em event for $102,292 at EPT Cyrpus.
Not far behind him is fan-favorite Ren Lin, who managed to bag up 3,650,000 before play ended last night. Lin was on the brink of elimination during his Day 1 flight and made an incredible comeback to bag amongst the chip leaders. Lin continued to build his stack throughout Day 2 with his aggressive, unpredictable style and will be looking to add another deep run here in Barcelona, having already placed second in the Mystery Bounty event a few days ago.

Day 3 is officially underway as the tournament director has instructed the dealers to shuffle up and deal.
Action folded around to the blinds, where Svetlin Sabev called from the small blind. Stanislovas Vinicenka took his option and raised to 170,000 from the big blind, which was met with a shove from Sabev for well over a million.
Vinicenka didn't take long to lay his hand down and Sabev collected the pot.

Claudio Di Giacomo opened to 100,000 from under the gun before George Dimuleasa jammed for 815,000 from middle position. The action folded to Wissam Ouertani in the big blind who went into the tank. After a couple minutes of deliberation he folded what he later said to be jacks while Di Giacomo snap-called.
George Dimuleasa: A♥Q♥
Claudio Di Giacomo: A♦K♦
Dimuleasa was in rough shape as his ace was dominated, until the A♠Q♠Q♦ flop vaulted him into the lead as he made a full house. Di Giacomo was drawing dead on the 8♥ turn to the 5♦ river as Dimuleasa flipped the script to double early in the day.

Martin Zamani opened 125,000 under the gun and Fikret Kovac three-bet 475,000 next to act before Jose Nadal jammed for about 600,000. Zamani got out of the way, and Kovac tossed in the extra chips to make the call.
Jose Nadal: A♠K♦
Fikret Kovac: A♥10♣
Nadal was in great shape but the Q♦10♥3♠ paired Kovac, leaving him needing to improve to a straight or hit his king, however, the 2♠ turn and the 6♦ river were no help as he stood up from the table.

Albert Puigsech opened to 125,000 first-to-act and was three-bet to 275,000 by Kevin Madar in the hijack. Puigsech responded by shoving, which was enough to put Madar all in for 1,085,000 total. Madar snap-called and a showdown was held.
Kevin Madar: A♥A♣
Albert Puigsech: A♠K♠
Puigsech found himself on the wrong end of a brutal preflop cooler, and the 6♣6♥J♠6♦Q♦ runout provided Madar with a sweat-free double-up.
