2025 Merit Poker Carmen Series
The bubble has burst before hand-for-hand play could even begin!
Everybody folded until the action got to Hassan Nashar in the small blind, who bumped it up to 90,000 from his stack of around 550,000. Konstantin Kvashin was in the big blind with a stack worth around double, and he shoved. Nashar, not one to shy away from risky situations, called for his tournament life.
Hassan Nashar: Q♦J♣
Konstantin Kvashin: K♥Q♠
Kvashin was well ahead with a dominating hand and got a safe flop when the dealer fanned 7♣10♥2♠. There wasn't much for Nashar to work with and he didn't pick up any extra outs when the 4♦ landed on the turn, which meant he had to find a jack on the river to survive. No jack appeared as the 8♦ rolled off, which meant Nashar was the last person to leave empty-handed.

Humberto Galindo is on a heater and has boosted his stack up to around 1,300,000 after stacking multiple opponents in a short space of time.
First, Galindo had his stack of 210,000 in the middle and at risk against Vladimir Lipnitskii, who had just 10,000 more.
Humberto Galindo: A♣4♣
Vladimir Lipnitskii: 10♣9♣
A safe board of K♠J♦J♣J♠2♦ saw Galindo double up, and left Lipnitskii super short-stacked.
Moments later, a three-way all-in pot between Andrei Daniliuk, Lipnitskii, and Galindo played out after the former shoved the cutoff for around 400,000, Lipnitskii called, and Galindo put his chips in with a covering stack.
Vladimir Lipnitskii: 4♣3♣
Andrei Daniliuk: A♥8♥
Humberto Galindo: J♥J♠
Galindo was made to sweat a little more on this runout as the flop of 7♥6♠2♥ gave Daniliuk a flush draw to go along with his overcard. However, the 9♣ turn and 2♣ river didn't change anything, and Galindo scored the double knockout.
Just as he was getting comfortable with his new stack, Galindo added yet more chips when a short-stacked player shoved for less than 200,000, and Galindo called.
Opponent: A♣4♠
Humberto Galindo: K♣K♦
The board came 5♥3♠9♥10♦J♦. and just liek that, Galindo's stack grew some more.

Cornelis Van Gent opened the cutoff to 80,000 and Jakub Michalak launched his stack of around 400,000 into the middle from the big blind. Van Gent snap-called.
Jakub Michalak: A♣10♠
Cornelis Van Gent: A♦A♥
Michalak was in a world of pain and needed to find some backdoor action when the flop fell J♣8♥3♦. A Q♦ did open up some of those backdoor opportunties, but the 4♣ on the river swiftly closed them, ending Michalak's run.

Danut Chisu opened to 80,000 from late position and Fadi Zarka three-bet to 300,000 from the blinds. When it got back to Chisu, he called.
Zarka immediately shoved on the K♥3♥3♠ flop for 460,000, which sent Chisu into the tank for quite some time. So much time passed that Chisu called the clock on himself and was given a 30-second countdown. With just a few seconds to go, Chisu called.
Fadi Zarka: J♠J♣
Danut Chisu: 10♠10♥
Chisu, now perhaps regretting his decision to call the clock on himself, had two outs to find with two attempts. However, the 7♠A♣ runout wasn't of any help, and he was left very short-stacked.
