Hassan Sey shoved under the gun for roughly 400,000 with Roman Gadzhiev calling from the small blind to try and finish him off.

It was another race between these two, but this time, the roles were reversed as Sey was the player with the pair and the player at risk of elimination. A clean runout of 5♠8♥4♣J♣J♥ meant that Sey's pocket tens earned him the double up.

Roman Gadzhiev raised to 500,000 from the cutoff with just 300,000 behind. Hassan Sey shoved from the small blind with a covering stack, and after the blig folded, Gadzhiev called.

Gadzhiev needed to hold with his Snowmen to stay alive in the tournament. The flop of A♦J♦K♣ was disastrous for Gadzhiev as Sey took a commanding lead in the hand with two pair. The 3♥ turn meant only an eight on the river would save Gadzhiev. To everyone's surprise, the 8♦ rolled off on the river to give Gadzhiev a set of eights, and he remained in the tournament.

Niste Snatches the Chip Lead From Gromov

There were around 500,000 chips in the pot on an A♦J♠4♠10♥ board when Dmitry Gromov checked from the big blind and Mihai Niste fired 350,000 from under the gun. Gromov responded with a check-raise to an even 1,000,000, which Niste called pretty quickly.

A 5♣ appeared on the river and Gromov checked, then after a long time, Niste checked back. Gromov then showed Q♠Q♣ for a pair of queens, but Niste had a set of jacks holding J♦J♣ to scoop the pot...and take the chip lead!

No Seven From Heaven For Deveson Sees Him Bust the Main Event

Can Miral opened from early position to 100,000 before Max Deveson three-bet to 800,000 from the cutoff with roughly 200,000 behind. Tamazi Skhirtladze then made it 1,900,000 out of the small blind. Miral folded, but Deveson called for the remainder of his stack.

Deveson had run into the Cowboys of Skhirtladze, and would need to find some help from the dealer if he was to continue his Main Event run. However, the runout of 8♠A♣6♦6♥2♣ didn't improve Deveson and he headed to the payout desk early on Day 4

Houayek Doubles Through Khorchidian

Joseph Houayek made big raise from under the gun to 200,000 and Nichan Khorchidian put in the min three-bet to 350,000 from the hijack. When it got back to Houayek, he called, leaving himself just 270,000 behind.

The rest of Houayek's chips went in on the 2♥J♠2♣ flop, and Khorchidian quickly called.

Ghasan Turns Two Pair to Bust Yaghmaie

Heads-up to a turn with roughly 400,000 in the pot on a board of 9♠8♦6♠2♦. Ibrahim Ghasan shoved from the big blind and Naryman Yaghmaie went into the tank. The shove was for Yaghimaie's remaining 550,000, and after thinking for a few moments, Yaghmaie called to put himself at risk.

Ghasan was ahead with a turned two pair against the top pair of Yaghmaie. The 5♣ river didn't improve Yaghmaie and he was sent to the cashier's desk as the second elimination of the day.

Disaster for Cappiello as he runs right into the aces of Skarparis in the opening seconds of Day 4. There was still a runout to sweat, but the 8♣J♣5♥ flop offered little help to Cappiello. He was dead when the 3♦ hit the turn, and a meaningless 10♥ dropped on the river.
