With 1,600 in the pot and a flop of 2♣9♦3♠6♥, Lee Jackson, a Toronto commercial real estate professional and father of three who won his way into this tournament via a free Step 1 ticket, checked from the small blind, and Michael Harris, who won a Gold Pass by finishing the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) as the 'Golden Player of the Series,' bet 1,000.
Jackson called and then shifted gears by leading out for 1,500 when the 3♣ completed the board on the river. Harris called with the A♣9♣ for nines and threes with an ace kicker, which was good as Jackson showed the A♦K♣ for the ace-high bluff.

Action was picked up three-ways in a single-raised pot between Robert Nolen from the cutoff, Andrew Porter from the small blind, and Paul Houvener from the big blind.
The A♦Q♦3♦ flop checked through to the Q♣ turn with saw Porter lead for 1,000 from the small blind and only Nolen called.
On the J♥ river, Porter overbet for 6,000 and Nolen did not take long before he flicked in the call. Porter tabled K♦9♦ for the flopped flush as he dragged a sizeable pot early in the day.
