Campione is the first stop where players can start accumulating points in the PokerStars Live League. This brand-new leaderboard competition gives players the chance to win over €150,000 in buy-ins and — most excitingly — the opportunity to audition for a spot on Team PokerStars Pro. That’s right: the top finishers in the league will get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to represent PokerStars on the global stage.
You’ll be able to follow your progress in real-time with the PokerStars Live app, which will keep you updated on how you stack up against the competition. And even if you don’t make it into the money, you’ll still earn points—20% of the value of the min-cash points if you bust before hitting the cash. So, you’re always in the game.

On a flop of 10♦J♣3♠, Giorgio Giacomini tossed his remaining 17,100 chips into a pot of 20,000 from early position, and Adrian Ziemichod made the call in the cutoff.
Giorgio Giacomini: Q♥Q♦
Adrian Ziemichod: A♣J♠
Giacomini faded the aces and jacks in the decks on the 4♣9♣ runout, doubling him up and leaving his opponent with a third of a starting stack.

In a pot of only 8,000, big blind Guilio Astarita committed his stack of 27,200 on the 7♠5♦2♦ flop. He was looked up by Erich Tedeschi in middle position, who had him covered.
Giulio Astarita: 5♠2♠
Erich Tedeschi: 8♥8♣
Astarita had flopped two pair, taking a big lead against Tedeschi's eights. The K♦ turn did not help Tedeschi, and the 2♣ river upgraded Astarita to a full house, doubling him up.

Maurizio Agrello under the gun, Guido Ortelli in middle position, and Andrea Miroli on the button were three-way to a flop of 5♠A♦7♥. With 7,000 in the pot, the action checked to Miroli on the button, who fired a bet of 5,000.
Agrello then raised to 15,000, which both Ortelli and Miroli called. The 9♣ turn slowed down Agrello as he checked to Ortelli. Ortelli fired 12,300, seeing Miroli put in his stack of 24,400.
Agrello spent some time in the tank before folding, after which Ortelli quickly called off for 23,700.
Guido Ortelli: 9♠9♦
Andrea Miroli: 7♦7♣
Miroli had flopped a set but was in dire straits against Ortelli's turned higher set. Miroli begged for a seven on the river, but the Q♣ came instead, leaving him with just 700 chips.
Ortelli, meanwhile, scooped up the pot worth over three starting stacks and ascended towards the top of the leaderboard.

Catching the tail end of a pot between Roberto Manfredi in the hijack and Manuel Valduga on the button, Manfredi shoved his stack of 23,000 into a pot of 26,000 on a completed board of Q♦4♣6♦5♣5♥.
Valduga wasted no time putting in a call, risking his own stack of 15,700. Manfredi tabled K♣Q♣ for top pair, but it was no good against the overpair of Valduga, who won the pot with his K♠K♦.

The action was picked up on a turn of 6♣10♣J♦A♦. Francesco Cortese checked from middle position to Alex Sampirisi in the hijack. Sampirisi then added 5,400 to the pot of 16,500, after which Cortese quickly moved all in.
Sampirisi eyed the bet of 17,000 for a few seconds before making a call with the covering stack.
Francesco Cortese: 10♠10♦
Alex Sampirisi: A♠A♣
The set-over-set situation left Cortese wuth just one out, which did not arrive on the K♥ river. He shook his head as he headed to the rail while Sampirisi stacked up his former chips.
