Carlin Cant Win the Flip

Action folded to a player in the cutoff who raised all in for his stack of 23,500. Then Thomas Carlin on the button went all in for 9,600, and once the blinds folded, it was the two players heads up, with Carlin at risk.

It was a fair fight but Carlin would need to improve to stay in the tournament. But once the board ran out 4♣K♥6♣K♦8♠ his opponent flopped a set and turned a full house, to take the pot and eliminate Carlin.

Collopy Gets Value

A player raised to 2,400 from early position, and was called by the small blind Michael Collopy and the big blind.

After the flop came A♥K♣4♥ both Collopy and the big blind check-called a bet of 1,500 from the early position player.

All three players checked the 2♣ turn, which brought the 9♦ on the river. Collopy then bet out 6,000, which was called by the big blind and the early position player mucked. Collopy tabled A♦7♥ to take the pot with his pair of aces, as the big blind quickly mucked.

Last week on the RGPS RunGood Resort series, the $600 Main Event in Tunica attracted a total of 598 entries. After three long days of action, it was Preston McEwen who was holding the ring and $57,206 first-place prize.

McEwen is no stranger to success on the RunGood circuit, as this marked his sixth ring in the tournament series. It was a dominant performance at the final table as he was atop the chip counts for the majority of the night, and the heads-up battle with John Holley lasted just one hand.

Sadler Takes Three-Bet Pot

Action folded to a player in middle position, who raised to 2,200 which was called by a player in the cutoff. It then folded the big blind Randy Sadler who three-bet to 8,000. Once the big blind folded, the middle position player called, and the cutoff folded.

The flop came 6♥2♣Q♦ and Sadler fired out 10,000, which got a quick fold from the middle position player to give Sadler the pot.

Moheimani's Ladies Knocks Out a Player

A player under the gun limped in, and once it folded to Allen Moheimani in the hijack, he raised to 3,000. It folded back to the under the gun player, and he made the call.

After the 10♠7♥5♣ flop, the under the gun player checked to Moheimani, who bet out 6,000, before the under the gun player raised all in for his stack of 27,800, which Moheimani quickly called.

The under the gun player flopped top pair, but would need more help to improve past the pocket queens of Moheimani. But when the board ran out 2♦ on the turn and 4♠ on the river, and the pocket queens of Moheimani were still best, to give him the pot and knockout his opponent.
