Richard Bai Wins $1,100 RunGood Open at NAPT Las Vegas

History was made this week, as Richard Bai took down the inaugural $1,100 RunGood Open for $68,530 at NAPT Las Vegas.

Bai outlasted a field of 480 entries, defeating Camilo Bencosme after a heads-up deal to claim the RunGood ring. The event created a total prize pool of $460,800, with the top 72 players earning a payday of at least $1,680.

Among those to cash the tournament were Chad Hicks (9th - $8,520), Andrew Rodgers (14th - $5,140), Joe Serock (15th - $5,140), Parker “Tonkaaaa” Talbot (22nd - $3,380), Mark Seif (28th - $2,560), and Bob Mather (48th - $1,940).

Set Over Set Gives Carlin a Sizable Pot

A player limped in from under the gun, then Thomas Carlin in early position raised to 1,200. A player in middle position called, and when it folded back to the under the gun player, she called as well.

After the 87J flop it checked to the middle position player who bet out 1,200. Both the under the gun player and Carlin made the call.

The turn brought the A and both the under the gun player and Carlin again checked called a bet from the middle position player, this time for 3,000.

After the 5 on the river, both players again checked the middle position player, who fired out 8,000. The under the gun player thought over her decision before mucking her hand, and Carlin snap called.

The middle position turned over 77 for a set of sevens, but Carlin had the winner with AA for a set of aces, to take the sizable pot.

Foster Takes it Down

A player from middle position raised to 800, before Grant Foster in the cutoff three-bet to 2,100. It then folded back to the middle position player, and he made the call.

After the 7AK flop, the middle position players check-called a bet of 1,000 from Foster.

The turn brought the J and the middle position player checked to Foster, who bet 3,000. His opponent gave it some thought before tossing his hand in the muck. As Foster scooped the pot, his opponent let the table know he tossed AQ in the muck.

Foster then releveled that he had a set of kings.

Collopy Hits the River

Action was picked up on the flop with the board showing 9Q2 and 3,600 in the pot.

After the flop a player in the big blind checked, as did Michael Collopy in the cutoff. Then a player on the button bet out 2,000, which was called by both the big blind and Collopy.

All three players checked to showdown after the J on the turn and K on the river. Collopy then tabled AK to take the pot with his pair of kings, as both his opponents quickly mucked their hands.

Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between two players, the board showing Q4A and 2,500 in the middle.

After the flop Jon Bugayong in the small blind checked to a player in the hijack who bet out 1,500. and Bugayong made the call.

Both players checked after the 10 on the turn, which brought the 5 on the river. Bugayong then bet out 3,200, which was snap called by the player in the hijack. Bugayong tabled 32 for a wheel, and his opponent showed AJ before tossing his cards in the muck, giving the pot to Bugayong.
