Action was picked up on the flop with the board showing 87J and 9,000 in the pot.

A player was all in for 20,200, and Randy Sadler called to put him at risk.

All in Player: QJ All in

Both players flopped top pair but Sadler was outkicked by his opponent. But the 10 on the turn gave Sadler a straight to give him the lead, and the 4 on the river changed nothing, to give Sadler the pot, and the knockout.

Tang Triples Up

Nivel 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jason Tang
Jason Tang

Action was picked up on the flop with three players in the hand.

The board was showing A7Q and Randy Sadler in early position checked to Jason Tang who bet all in for his stack of 20,000 from the hijack. The player in the cutoff then called, as did Sadler.

The turn brought 9 and Sadler jammed for his stack of 33,000. The cutoff then showed and ace before mucking his hand, leaving the players heads up, with Tang at risk.

Jason Tang: AJ All in
Randy Sadler: K10

Tang had the best of it with his pair of aces , but would need to fade the gut shot straight draw of Sadler to stay in the tournament. The river came the 5 which was safe for Tang, securing him the triple up.

Shortly after the hand Sadler was seen leaving the tournament area after being eliminated.

Aaron Knapp raised from early position to 12,000, before a player in middle position three-bet all in for 32,000. It then folded to Makcnm Tatapnhlieb on the button who called, and once the blinds folded, Knapp four-bet to 64,000. Tatapnhlieb decided to get out of the way to leave the players heads up.

All in Player: A10 All in
Aaron Knapp: QQ

Knapp had the best of it with his pocket queens, and once the board ran out 10J472 the pocket queens were still best, giving Knapp the pot and eliminating his opponent.

Astivan Batoo: KQ

It was a fair fight but Batoo would need to improve to knockout his opponent. When the board ran out 36K74 he did just that as he flopped a king to take the pot and send his opponent packing.

Makcnm Tatapnhlieb raised to 18,000 from under the gun, and was called by Anthony Bland in the big blind.

After the QKA flop, both players checked to the 3 on the turn. Bland then bet all in for his stack of 50,000, which Tatapnhlieb snap called.

Thomas Carlin
Thomas Carlin

Day 1 of the $600 Main Event at the RunGood Poker Series has concluded at Jamul Casino in San Diego. The first of three Day 1 flights attracted 100 entrants, with 13 players advancing to Day 2. Thomas Carlin ended the night with a commanding chip lead, bagging 684,000.

Carlin, who found himself at the rebuy table early in the night, ended up atop the leaderboard when play concluded. After reentering the tournament, he steadily built his stack as the night progressed. He then seized a commanding chip lead just two players from the money bubble. In a pivotal hand, Carlin's opponent, Jon Bugayong, flopped two pair, but Carlin turned a bigger two pair. Bugayong, who started the hand with over 200,000 chips, jammed on the turn, only to be snap-called by Carlin. When Bugayong failed to improve on the river, Carlin took a massive chip lead. Sitting in second place is Andrew Whitmer with 315,000, followed closely by Michael Collopy, who bagged 279,000.

The 13 remaining players all secured a spot in the money after Anthony Bland defended his big blind with queen-ten against a raise from Maksim Tatarintsev under the gun. Both players checked the flop, but after the turn, Bland pushed all-in for his 50,000-chip stack. Tatarintsev quickly called, holding the nuts with a Broadway straight. Bland, with queen-ten, was left hoping for a chop, but the river provided no help, bursting the bubble.
