Allain Traps Cisterna

Nivel 3 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Erwan Allain opened to 1,100 from the hijack and received two calls before Sylvain Cisterna squeezed to 6,900 from the small blind, and only Allain called.

On the Q102 flop, Cisterna continued for 5,200 and Allain quickly called.

The 6 turn checked through to the 7 river which saw Cisterna jam for his remaining 15,800 and Allain snapped it off.

Erwan Allain: A7

Cisterna had flopped top-top and jammed for value on the river. However, Allain checked back the turn with the nut flush and got maximum value from Cisterna.

Nuts Against Second Nuts for Nguyen

Nivel 3 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action was picked up on the turn in a hand between David Taieb in middle position and Dinh Nhat Nguyen in the hijack.

With the board reading J83A, Taieb checked to Nguyen who bet 5,000 and Taieb quickly called.

The 5 completed the board and Taieb checked again. Nguyen went with a small sizing of 4,000 and Taieb put out a check-raise to 18,000. Nguyen then three-bet to 49,000 after some deliberation. Taieb went deep into the tank for around two minutes before he finally put out the call.

Nguyen showed KJ for the nut flush while Taieb tabled the Q for the second nuts in a cooler scenario as Nguyen padded his stack.

Flashback: Alexandre Le Vaillant Triumphs in 2023 UDSO Marrakech Main Event

Nivel 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Alexandre Le Vaillant
Alexandre Le Vaillant

After a heads-up battle that lasted just over an hour, Alexandre Le Vaillant emerged victorious in the 2023 Unibet DeepStack Open Marrakech Main Event. Le Vaillant defeated Tristan Forge in an exciting heads-up battle that saw the chip lead exchange several times before Le Vaillant seized the victory to collect the first-place prize of 625,000 Moroccan Dirhams (€57,926).

Le Vaillant began the day as the chip leader and was firmly in the driver's seat for the early stages of the day as the field dwindled from 16 players down to the nine-handed final table. Le Vaillant did fall to the middle of the pack a few times during the final table but always managed to surge back up to the top of the chip counts each time. The French Pro moved over $500,000 in career tournament earnings, with this win being his second-biggest career cash.

River Saves Bismuth

Nivel 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Arno Peronnet opened from early position before "Marijo" three-bet to 3,500 from the button. In the small blind, Kevin Bismuth jammed for his remaining 12,500. Peronnet got out of the way before Marijo cut out calling chips and placed them in the middle.

"Marijo": QQ

Bismuth was in rough shape and it stayed that way on the 1053 flop. The K on the turn gave additional broadway outs to Bismuth. However, it was the A on the river that saved him as he collected a full double.

Set Over Set as Gouilliou Doubles

The action was picked up on the flop with around 35,000 already in the middle in a four-bet pot between Cyril Gouilliou from middle position and "Ismael" in the hijack.

On the KJ5 flop, Gouilliou opted to check and Ismael bet 20,000. Gouilliou immediately jammed for his remaining 90,000 and Ismael shrugged as he called it off as the slightly covering stack.
