Kornuth Gets a Wave

Nivel 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Tyler Stafman opened to 5,000 from middle position and Narcis-Gabriel Nedelcu and Chance Kornuth called in the blinds.

The flop of 879 checked through and all three players checked again on the 10 turn. Nedelcu bet 25,000 on the A river and Kornuth stared him down. Nedelcu waved at Kornuth as the poker coach folded and Stafman also folded.

At the next table, two players continued a protracted argument over whether one had shorted the other when making chance for a big chip.

Flush Over Flush for Jackson

Nivel 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In a blind versus blind battle, two players saw the 9792 turn and before checking, Boban Zhivkovikj said, "Just so you know nine-seven is my birthday."

Harvey Jackson stayed silent while firing out a bet of 30,000 into the pot of about 35,000.

"Oh, maybe it is your birthday," Zhivkovikj replied as he tossed in a call.

The 4 completed the board on the river and Zhivkovikj checked once again. Jackson flung 85,000 into the middle, which had Zhivkovikj talking aloud again. "I have the worst possible flush, but I don't think I can fold."

After a couple of seconds, Zhivkovikj tossed in a call and rolled his 43 face-up. Jackson tabled A8 for the nut flush and the dealer pushed the pot his way.

Warren Can't Shake Stokes

Nivel 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Shaneil Stokes opened to 5,000 in early position and was called by Kristen Foxen in the cutoff and Dylan Linde on the button. Neil Warren reraised to 31,000 out of the small blind and only Stokes called.

The flop came Q107 and Warren led out with a bet of 13,000. Stokes called and the 5 landed on the turn. Warren fired out another bet of 75,000 and Stokes stuck around for the 4 on the river.

Warren went into the tank for over two minutes before finally checking and Stokes did the same. Warren showed A10 for a pair of tens but Stokes turned over KQ for a pair of queens to claim the pot.

Nivel 2 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Heads-up to a flop of KQ6, Harvey Jackson checked from middle position to Mikhail Volfson in the cutoff who bet 17,000. Jackson responded with a check-raise to 53,000, and Volfson called.

Mackey Cracks Jacks

Nivel 2 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joshua Hopkins opened 7,000 in middle position and Mitchell Mackey called in the cutoff.

The dealer spread a flop of Q22, and Hopkins check-called a bet of 7,000 from Mackey.

When the 9 hit the turn, Hopkins check-called another bet of 18,000.

The A completed the board on the river and both players tapped the table. Hopkins tabled JJ but was quickly shown his jacks were no good as Mackey tabled Q9.

Jackson "Misclicks" to Cooler Arieh

Nivel 2 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Josh Arieh opened to 8,000 from middle position and was called by the hijack. In the cutoff, the active Harvey Jackson put out a three-bet to 105,000, using a 5,000-chip and a 100,000-chip.

With the action on the big blind, Jackson announced that he misclicked and meant to raise to 30,000, but he got the chips confused.

Arieh would then four-bet, the hijack folded, and Jackson snapped it off for around 185,000 effective.

Josh Arieh: QQ

It was a cooler scenario with Jackson having the best of it as the board ran out 933K8 as Jackson got the double.

"That was a nice angle. They should teach that in school," joked tablemate Boban Zhivkovikj.

WSOP Finalizes $500 Million Sale to GGPoker Parent Company

WSOP

Caesars Entertainment has finalized the $500 million sale of the biggest brand in poker to GGPoker's parent company, according to an announcement in late October.

Back in August, Caesars Entertainment shocked the poker world when it announced that it would be selling World Series of Poker (WSOP) to NSUS Group Inc, a leading investment group and operator GGPoker. The deal was solidified Tuesday and includes a $250 million cash transaction and a $250 million promissory note due in five years.

Though the WSOP sale marks a shakeup in the industry, poker players can still expect the summer WSOP to be held in Las Vegas for the next 20 years. Additionally, poker rooms at Caesars properties will continue to feature WSOP branding.
