Montgomery Busts Sabat

Nivel 4 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Eddy Sabat
Eddy Sabat

Eddie Sabat and Scott Montgomery got into a preflop raising war with Sabat's {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} racing the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} of the former November Niner.

The board came {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Sabat was eliminated as a result. That table, which still has Josh Brikis, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Scott Montgomery, and Brent Hanks, is one of two five-handed tables.

Brikis Binks The River

Nivel 4 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We came to the table as Josh Brikis and his opponent, Grantland Hillman, were getting it all in on the river with the board showing {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Hillman showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for flopped top pair, but Brikis showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a river set, which was good enough to take the pot and bust Hillman. The hand upped Brikis to 115,000.

Quads are Good

Nivel 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

Eric Yates raised under the gun to 2,000. Grantland Hillman was next to act and made it 5,600 to go. It folded to Uke Dauti, who went all in for 69,600. It folded back around to Yates, who went into the tank before making the call. Hillman gave it up, and the players showed their cards.

Yates: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Dauti: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

This race went from a 50-50 to a slam dunk win for Yates when the flop came {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. The meaningless turn and river were the {8-Diamonds} and {6-Clubs}, and Yates scooped the huge pot to up his stack to 150,000.

Hassled Hoff

Nivel 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

Steven van Zadelhoff is out after he got into a blind on blind battle with Theo Tran. Tran made it 2,000 in the small blind and the Dutchman put in about 20,000 with very little behind. Tran set him in and van Zadelhoff quickly called.

Van Zadelhoff: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Tran: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board came {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} - a rivered and unnecessary full house for Tran who further cements his chip lead over the table.

Mizrachi Eliminated

Nivel 3 : 400/800, 100 ante
Eric Mizrachi
Eric Mizrachi

Eric Mizrachi and his opponent, Jean-Paul Pasqualini, got all the chips in preflop, with Mizrachi having the shorter stack.

Mizrachi: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Pasqualini: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Both players hit the flop of {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, which unfortunately for Mizrachi, meant that he was drawing very slim. The turn brought a few outs when it came the {10-Spades}, but the river was the {9-Spades}, knocking him out and boosting Pasqualini's stack to 36,000.

Suckout!!! Re-Suckout!!!!

Nivel 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

In what has been the common theme of the day, we have just seen another brutal all in suckout. Although this hand turned out a bit differently. Amit Mahkija and his opponent Valdemar Kwaysser got all the chips in the middle, with Mahkija having him covered.

Mahkija: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Kwaysser: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop brought Mahkija his out when it came {10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. But the turn flipped the script once again when it came the {k-Clubs}. The way the day has been, we were half expecting one of the two aces to come on the river, but it came the {2-Hearts}, and Kwaysser doubled up, knocking Mahkija back down to 15,000.
