Peters Eliminates Ludemann

Nivel 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

David Peters has just gotten his table down to eight handed after he knocked out Jarod Ludemann. The two players got the money in preflop, and it was yet another race situation.

Peters: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Ludemann: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The flop was a disaster for Ludemann as it came {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The turn came the {7-Clubs} and Ludemann was drawing dead. The meaningless river was the {10-Diamonds}, and Peters scooped the pot to get up to 100,000.

Finstein Wins Big Flip

Nivel 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

Michael Finstein opened to 1,500 preflop and Soren Kongsgaard made it 4,250 from the cutoff. Finstein then four bet to 10,200 and Kongsgaard moved all in, Finstein quickly called and we had the classic match-up.

Finstein: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Kongsgaard: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The board came {Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Finstein had exactly his starting stack (45,000) and doubled up just over the 90,000 mark. Danish wunderkind Kongsgaard was left with about 12,000 or so.

Badecker on Deck of Full Boat

Nivel 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

We caught the action as the flop came out {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Andrew Badecker check called Kenneth Auker's 5,100 bet. When the turn came the {6-Diamonds}, Auker checked, and Badecker decided that he liked the 5,100 bet so much that he'd do it too. Auker called, and also check called Badecker's bet of 9,000 after the river came the {5-Spades}. Badecker showed {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a turned full house, and Auker mucked, dropping him to 10,500. Badecker's stack has been boosted to 74,000.

Hinkle Outruns His Opponent, Gets the KO

Nivel 2 : 300/600, 75 ante
Blair Hinkle
Blair Hinkle

Blair Hinkle just won a pivotal race as he called Keith Donovan's all in raise after a series of raises preflop. The two players showed their cards, and it was another classic race situation.

Hinkle: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Donovan: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and Hinkle's flopped pair of queens was good enough to take the pot and boost his stack to 82,000.

Smith Shatters Glass On River

Nivel 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

We came to table 285 as the board read {10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}, and Robert Smith had put himself all in for 14,800. Andrew Glass thought for a few seconds before calling, and he had Smith in bad shape.

Glass: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Smith: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Smith needed an ace, nine, or seven on the river to survive, and he got just that, as it came the {a-Diamonds}. Smith doubled up to around 52,000, while Glass dropped to around 10,000.

Good Karma in Poker?

Nivel 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

Earlier we reported that Amit Mahkija had been crippled when his aces fell to Victor Ramdin's flopped straight. Well after doubling up with aces, Mahkija just came from behind to score another double up against Valdemar Kwaysser. The two got the money in preflop, and Mahkija was in a dominated position.

Mahkija: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Kwaysser: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

The flop was beautiful for Mahkija as it came out {j-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}, giving him a set. Kwaysser needed one of the two sevens left in the deck, but didn't get it as it came {8-Diamonds} and {5-Hearts}. Mahkija doubled up to around 15,500, and is slowly fighting his way back into the table.
