Christopher George had put out bets on sixth and seventh, getting called both times and showing queens and sevens. Habib sweated his final card needing a nine, ten or jack to make a better two pair, "It's paint..." he said, meaning George was now a slight favourite for the hand. But Habib flipped it and it was a jack to give him the pot.
George was stunned and quite upset by the sweat, saying he wished Habib hadn't sweated the last card and just wished he'd flipped it straight away. Nevertheless Habib took a decent chunk out of the former chip leader and moves up to a more comfortable stack.

Alex Kostritsyn was the bring in with the . Barry Greenstein completed with the , but Jason Mercier raised with the . Both Kostritsyn and Greenstein called Mercier down until sixth street when Kostritsyn's board paired. He checked, as did Greenstein. Mercier bet, but saw Kostritsyn put in a raise. Greenstein got out of the way, watching Mercier check seventh street. Kostritsyn bet, sending Mercier into the tank for a good two minutes before he folded.

Men Nguyen brought in, Nick Schulman called, Tom McCormick completed and both other players called. On fourth Nguyen bet and only Schulman stuck around. The action was the same on fifth and sixth while both players checked on seventh. Nguyen showed 
for two pair which was good as Schulman mucked.

Joining the action on fifth street and Jim Paluszek bet out, Sorrel Mizzi raised and Chad Brown called. Paluszek then made it three bets, Mizzi called, as did Brown. When Mizzi paired the board, he led out, Brown folded but Paluszek called, this pattern repeated itself on seventh and Mizzi showed 
for a boat, while his opponent flashed 
for the flush.

Christopher George completed and then called Chad Brown’s raise. George check-called Brown’s bet on fourth and on all remaining streets, Brown bet and George called. Brown turned over for two pair and George flashed 
, clearly curious as to whether Brown had hit two pair which he indeed did to win the pot. The hand knocked George out of first place in chips.

We caught up with the action on fifth where Nick Schulman bet and John Hennigan called. The action was the same on sixth and both players checked seventh. Schulman was clearly looking for the check-raise as he turned over for quads and Hennigan mucked. That’s the second time we’ve seen Schulman with quads and we’re not sure if we’ve missed any other times that he’s had them but if not, then we might just be Schulman’s good luck charm.

Just before the break, John Hennigan won a huge pot against Men Nguyen. According to Chris Amaral it went to a five-bet cap on fifth street before Nguyen bet sixth and then seventh in the dark. Hennigan raised on seventh and Nguyen made the call. Hennigan showed 
having been rolled up, hit a flush draw and then boated up on the end. Nguyen flashed for trip tens and a four-flush that missed.
