Liu Gaining Some Ground

Nivel 3 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

JJ Liu opened from the cutoff and was called by Michele Limongi in the big.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Limongi check-called a bet from Liu. However, Limongi decided he had enough when Liu bet again on the {A-Hearts} turn and folded.

Liu is back up to 32,000

Exposed Card Keeps Ramdin Alive

Karen Manfrede raised it up on the button and Victor Ramdin re-raised leaving him only 600 behind. Manfrede called and Ramdin threw his last 600 in the pot before the flop was even dealt, it came down{a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Ramdin flipped over the {k-Diamonds}, assuming that he was going to get a call from Manfrede who announced, "I haven't called yet." Ramdin said, "OH, I'm sorry... I just didn't think you were about to fold for 600 right here..." Manfrede threw her hand away though and Ramdin showed {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for absolutely nothing. Manfrede seemed to regret the fold a bit, but Ramdin is now alive again with 7,500.

Parker & Engel Play Big Hands

Nivel 3 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Brock Parker and Ari Engel both had big hands in the last pot they played. They went to a flop of {Q-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {7-Hearts}, Parker bet, Englel raised and Parker called. The turn came {K-Clubs}, Parker bet and Engel called. The river fell {K-Diamonds}, Parker bet and Engel called. See a pattern there?

Engel tabled {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} and Parker broke his usual straight face with a smile and tabled {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs}. They chopped up the pot and it's the second time we've seen pocket aces dealt to two players in the same hand.

Lew Changing Gears

Facing a three bet preflop Randy Lew called and got to see a flop with the likes of Christoph Kwon and Luke Nettles. The cards came out {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Lew dictated the action with a bet, Kwon called while Nettles folded.

On the {10-Clubs} turn Kwon again called a bet from Lew. The river {4-Diamonds} brought checks from both players. Lew showed {6-}{6-} which was enough to win the pot, as Kown mucked his cards.

Some Chip Counts at Break

Corkins Eliminated

Hoyt Corkins moved all in from middle position and received three callers. On a {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop Dale Eberle was able to cut some dead weight with a series of raises between him and David Speicher lead to Todd Wittleles folding. The {A-Diamonds} on fourth street brought another bet from Edberle and a fold from Speicher.

Corkins: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Eberle: {A-}{k-}

Corkins would need to catch a four in order to stay in this tournament. The river {8-Diamonds} was no use to Corkins and he was eliminated.
