Arieh Takes from Hennigan

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Josh Arieh - (x) (x) / {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} / (x)
John Hennigan - (x) (x) / {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Clubs} / (x)

Arieh completed, Hennigan raised and Arieh called. On fourth street, Arieh check-called a bet from Hennigan. On fifth, Arieh led with his pair of sevens, Hennigan put in two bets, and Arieh called. On sixth, Arieh again led and Hennigan again raised, but this time Arieh put in a third bet. Hennigan called.

On seventh, Hennigan called one bet from Arieh, and mucked when Arieh opened up {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a ten-high straight. Arieh is up to 13,000 chips, while Hennigan slipped to 6,500.

Jerry Buss From Downtown!

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jerry Buss started a hand with about 2,700 and was all in against two opponents going to seventh street, one of which was Eli Elezra. The third opponent missed his draw and mucked his hand, Elezra showed two pair, Nines and Eights. Buss began to peel his last card and when he was finished he confidently fanned out three diamonds, cards that completed his flush to "triple" up and scoop the near 9,000 chip pot.

Elezra is still healthy with about 19,500 but would have been one of the larger stacks in the room had he won that hand.

Forrest Chopped Down

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ted Forrest - (x) (x) / {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} / (x)
Opponent - (x) (x) / {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / (x)

Forrest called bets on every street but seventh - where both players checked - and mucked when his opponent tabled {k-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a pair of queens. Forrest is very short now, sitting with only 2,400 in chips.

Eli's Coming

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Eli Elezra - (x) (x) / {q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts} / (x)
Opponent - (x) (x) / {4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / (x)

Elezra brought in, and the action folded to an opponent who completed with the {4-Diamonds} showing. Only Elezra called. Elezra called bets on fourth, fifth and sixth street, but on seventh it was Elezra who bet when checked to. His opponent mucked, and Elezra is now up to 19,000 chips.

Adams Eliminated in Controversial Ending

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

We walked in on the floor making a ruling at a table with Brandon Adams, Shaun Deeb, and Bryan Devonshire. Adams was all in with a board showing {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a pair of queens and Deeb showing {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs} for aces and tens. The controversy occurred when Devonshire, who was not involved in the hand, said that the dealer did not burn a card before dealing seventh street.

Even though the dealer said she did, the cards were counted and indeed the dealer did not burn a card. As a result, the cards on seventh street were shifted around, and Deeb, who had just a pair of sixes at the time, got the {a-Spades} to make two pair. That bested Adams, eliminating him from the tournament.

Understandably, Adams was not pleased with the result, and refused to leave his chair until he was given a sufficent explanation of the ruling. About five minutes after the controversial seventh street was dealt, Adams finally succumbed to his fate, and left the tournament area.

Durrr Takes Two, One Off Forrest

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Dwan: {X-}{X-}/{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{K-Clubs}/{X-}
Forrest: {X-}{X-}/{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}/{X-}

The {2-Diamonds} brought in and Tom "Durrr" Dwan raised before Ted Forrest three bet. Dwan called and the two players went to fourth street heads up. Durrr check called Forrest's bet on fourth and check-raised his bet on fifth. Dwan led out sixth and seventh, Forrest called both streets.

Dwan rolled over the {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a flush and Forrest mucked.

The very next hand Dwan busted a player with Nines and Eights. He is now one of the biggest stacks in the room sitting with 29,500.

We caught the action on fifth street, where Mercier led out and Smith raised. Mercier called. When Smith paired on sixth he led out, and Mercier called. On seventh, Smith led out again, but this time Mercier couldn't call.

Elezra Chipping Up

Nivel 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Elezra: {X-}{X-}/{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}/{X-}
Opponent 1: {X-}{X-}/{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Opponent 2: {X-}{X-}/{7-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}/{X-}

After a player with the {2-Clubs} brought in, Eli Elezra raised, an opponent behind him made it three bets, a third opponent flatted;. Elezra also called. On fourth street, opponent 1 bet, opponent 2 raised, Elezra and opponent 1 called.

Fifth street checked around. On sixth street, a bet from Elezra prompted opponent 1 to fold while opponent 2 flatted. Both players checked the last card and Elezra showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, Queens and nines, good enough to ship the pot.

Elezra now has over 10,000.
